I see that HROT is on the list and that while yes it DRM Free, I just wanted to mention that you first have to delete the steam_api.dll file or else it will launch Steam. I think this bit of info should be added next to the game on wiki.

Well Speer DX doesn't seem to work with this. It has an api.dll and an api64.dll as well as some steamwrap.ndll file (i'm guessing because of the program it was made in?) and a lime.ndll file (don't delete this. game needs it to run at all). I tried deleteing all 3 of those (game still runs without them) but achivements still appeared locked.

Hollow Knight is one of the very few games on Steam with an internal achievement browser - but when running the game outside of Steam, the browser window is simply empty.

However, if you delete/rename "hollow_knight_Data/Plugins/libsteam_api.so" (Linux) or "hollow_knight_Data\Plugins\x86_64\steam_api64.dll" (Windows), local achievements work even without Steam.
I've tested the Windows version using Wine on Linux.

Hmm interesting and nice find. There is another game that has built in achivements too and is DRM-Free.

The Last Campfire is on the list already. You need to add a steam_appid.txt file to make it work without Steam.

Ok just tested No Straight Roads. The main executable will launch Steam but if you go to "\NoStraightRoads\Binaries\Win64" the NoStraightRoads-Win64-Shipping.exe is DRM-Free and works outside of team. So yes pretty much the game is DRM-Free.
