Post newly-discovered games here
This thread is for newly-discovered DRM-free and client-free games, so put what you find in the comments below. I'll post my own comments to let you know that the wiki page has been updated!

Also, it seems like if you copy and paste the Steam store page URL into your comment, it'll give you a really nice link to the page itself, with a preview of the game, and everything (as you can see in many of the comments below). It's a really nice visual cue, so I recommend doing that whenever you find a DRM-free game.

PLEASE MAKE SURE you specify the operating system on which you tested the game. Not all games are created equally, and some games have versions that are DRM-free on one OS but not on another. Also, remember to do a quick check on the wiki page to see if the game is already listed there.

Reignfall is also DRM-Free:

https://store.steampowered.com/app/935930/Reignfall/

Installed it through Proton, 7zip'd it, so copied the game folder to a fully offline Windows 10 machine.
Game worked fine. I haven't tested in a Linux machine though, but, by what it seems, it might work fine with Wine. :)

I don't know why I didn't think to try this earlier, but Shredder's Revenge is also DRM-free on Linux. It has the same issue as the Windows version right now where running it outside of Steam and getting a game over causes the game to crash, so presumably, that'll be fixed in the future, but it does at least run. I'm still not going to put that on the wiki until running it outside of Steam is fully fixed, but I wanted to provide an update.

River City Girls launches and saves out of the box on Windows 10:

Now that TMNT has been updated, you could try again to see if the issues persist.

Yeah, I immediately tried TMNT after the update. Still crashes. 🫤

GUNBARICH (1342240) seems drmfree, just open the exe. Tested on a Windows 10 bare metal machine that had Steam at some point but has been since uninstalled, and on a Win10 virtual machine that never had Steam installed, both cut off from the internet. Update tested is from December 3, 2021, according to SteamDB.

Also tested a few other games from the same publisher, but none worked at all.

River City Girls Zero (1851020):
- ROMs: Includes multiple SNES ROMs which are ready to run on emulators, with each ROM being a language or alternative translation for the game; they're the .sfc files.
- Windows 10: I couldn't get the exe run, not sure why; Steam was installed at some point but isn't anymore, and the computer was on airplane mode.
- Xubuntu 22.04 with Wine: the exe worked first try without any issues at all; I never installed Steam on this system, and although it wasn't on airplane mode, it wasn't connected to the internet either.

Update tested is 1.0 (from Sep. 14, 2022, according to SteamDB).

Absolutely no surprise here: Shovel Knight Dig is DRM-free. I'll update the wiki sometime this weekend to reflect our recent discoveries.

That is good to here. It is a shame that it isn't on GOG though.

A Lenda do Herói - Edição Definitiva / Songs for a Hero - Definitive Edition (389170) received some updates since when it was reported back in the now defunct GOG thread, and it appears like it no longer can be initialized with either the presence of the steam_appid.txt file, or the -nosteam command line argument. Older builds should still be accessible through Steam's command line tool, but now the problem is figuring out which builds are the DRM free ones.

Okay, we're all updated again!

As expected, SIGNALIS is DRM-free! (The demo was, as well.) Just rename Steam.exe, so the game can't launch the client.

As expected, Portal with RTX is DRM-free, just like the original. Create a shortcut to hl2.exe, and add " -game portal_rtx" (without quotation marks, space before -game) to the end of the Target field.

Holy crap, so, this is pretty amazing. Not only is No More Heroes 3 completely DRM-free if you run it via nmh3-Win64-Shipping.exe, but if you run it through the significantly-larger file nmh3.exe, it seems to load up a debug build of the game -- also DRM-free -- which you can use to do things that you normally shouldn't be able to do.

Now this is awesome. Thanks for letting me know.

Also, is there a way to try out the larger exe file without the debug stuff? Outside of the video I've posted below, that larger exe file is the only way to start the game with controller support.

For those trying out No More Heroes 3 with a controller, make sure to check the link below when trying to start the game from the "shipping.exe" file:
