This thread is for newly-discovered DRM-free and client-free games, so put what you find in the comments below. I'll post my own comments to let you know that the wiki page has been updated!

Also, it seems like if you copy and paste the Steam store page URL into your comment, it'll give you a really nice link to the page itself, with a preview of the game, and everything (as you can see in many of the comments below). It's a really nice visual cue, so I recommend doing that whenever you find a DRM-free game.

PLEASE MAKE SURE you specify the operating system on which you tested the game. Not all games are created equally, and some games have versions that are DRM-free on one OS but not on another. Also, remember to do a quick check on the wiki page to see if the game is already listed there.

Okay that worked and allowed me to play the game without Steam running, through however in my case (probably because I'm on Windows), the game's controller support works fine. It also seems like the game carried over my progress from my Steam save as well, though I don't know if DLC is locked out without Steam running. I sadly do not have the Supporter Pack on my account to test this. Thank you though for the help!

An update on one of our findings: With today's DLC release, I can now confirm that *only the base game* of The Rise of the Golden Idol is DRM-free; for the DLC to be recognized, the game requires Steam to be running.

What about the Deluxe Edition content, can you still have access to it?

EDIT: I'd still like a reply to my question, but after a quick search, seems like there's no point in the Deluxe Edition to begin with.
The items you get from it are obtainable ingame (even the preorder ones). The only thing that's "exclusive" is the artbook, but you can only access it through the game (no .pdf files) and it seems quite lackluster.

No need to apologize. Smart move though, buying the Deluxe Edition seems kinda pointless since you can get the items ingame, unless you want to have them early.

If someone passing by knows the answer to my original question, please do let me know.

EDIT: After fiddling with stuff, I can confirm that the Deluxe Edition content cannot be accessed when launching the game outside Steam.

I see that HROT is on the list and that while yes it DRM Free, I just wanted to mention that you first have to delete the steam_api.dll file or else it will launch Steam. I think this bit of info should be added next to the game on wiki.
