Thanks.
AJ - in our version of the game - which is different from what the non-beta players are using. I have run your Good Girl, Vamp, Pit Fighter, Assassin, and Courtesan, through to Champ dungeons (I have not played much in champ at this point) but I have not crashed once. Once steam workshop is released - other players will have no issue as well.
I am running your mods as a manual install.
So right now - the issue that other players are facing is most likely from one of 2 sources:
1. Non-workshop game does still have the file wall restriction.
2. Designing/modifying your classes in this version of the game - which might be causing issues in the version of the game that non-beta players are using.
I can confirm that at least myself and Baron have run your mods without any issue up through to champ dungeons.
So i am attempting to re-upload the Assassin.
But it suffers a major crushes everytime, and I don't know why.
From the look of error, it is like it couldn't find any of the files (effects, heroes folder, arts, etc etc) for this, but is still trying to refrence it, and force the game to crush (even before you see or have any assassin the party)
Any help? thanks.
It's usually caused when uploading files that are already in the DarkestDungeon folders, which sometimes confuses the uploader. Moving the files connected to the mod out of the DarkestDungeon folder (or deleting them) should make it upload properly.
I think there is a setting in the uploader that makes it ignore files already in the DarkestDungeon folder, but I don't remember how to set it.
gotcha. That made alot of sense.
Will will do the up load from another, cleaner computer tonight, and give it a try.
Thanks alot for the great insights :)
You might have checked this already, but when I first was having this issue - the problem was that I had still had a hard copy of the class in the DD folders. The installed hard copy and the subbed copy cannot co-exist, so make sure you have removed all files related to the class from the DD folders.
