Class mod that crash the game
Here are some report of crashes I got from some of my mod classes. They are not in the workshop, but hope to know what is trigging the crash.

So it seem that with some of the mod class installed, when run against bosses, even if the mod class are not in the group, it still crash the game. Regular run seem to be okay.

My suspection is with the achievement(?). But see if any one know what might trigger it and how to better fix it. Thanks.

I'm not sure. I'll check and see if they do that with me too as well. I haven't tested the classes with bosses yet.

the report I got that is that it crash the game when entering boss dungeon, even if no custom class were in the party (but installed). Seem happen with some of my class mods (like Surgeon), but not sure if with other have this issue.

Thanks.

AJ - in our version of the game - which is different from what the non-beta players are using. I have run your Good Girl, Vamp, Pit Fighter, Assassin, and Courtesan, through to Champ dungeons (I have not played much in champ at this point) but I have not crashed once. Once steam workshop is released - other players will have no issue as well.

I am running your mods as a manual install.

So right now - the issue that other players are facing is most likely from one of 2 sources:

1. Non-workshop game does still have the file wall restriction.

2. Designing/modifying your classes in this version of the game - which might be causing issues in the version of the game that non-beta players are using.

I can confirm that at least myself and Baron have run your mods without any issue up through to champ dungeons.

Agreed. I am running your mods from manual install and did 2 Champion boss runs without issue. However I did have an issue with the Cannoneer that I thought was hilarious though it still got me a party wipe- apparently if you use the Cannoneer in the weald gainst the various cannon bosses his 'light the fuse' will actually arm the cannon and fire it despite the loader being dead. Ran another round of playthrough to test it and surer enough it happened again.

Well I just did a run against the Necromancer without problems, thought the only class mods I was using was Scorpio's 4 recent ones (Shadow Dancer, Shinobi, Moogle & Viking) and the Offering. I also added the remaining workshop classes ingame though the mod menu with no problem, but I'll check and see if it does it again with another boss with the Assassin.

Hi, back to this.

So i am attempting to re-upload the Assassin.
But it suffers a major crushes everytime, and I don't know why.

From the look of error, it is like it couldn't find any of the files (effects, heroes folder, arts, etc etc) for this, but is still trying to refrence it, and force the game to crush (even before you see or have any assassin the party)

Any help? thanks.

Figured out what the problem is. It's the modifies.txt error. If you look at the "modifies.txt" file, it's missing a big chunk of the files that are actually in the mod and basically the game is only looking for a few files in the "assassin_B" folder.

It's usually caused when uploading files that are already in the DarkestDungeon folders, which sometimes confuses the uploader. Moving the files connected to the mod out of the DarkestDungeon folder (or deleting them) should make it upload properly.

I think there is a setting in the uploader that makes it ignore files already in the DarkestDungeon folder, but I don't remember how to set it.

gotcha. That made alot of sense.
Will will do the up load from another, cleaner computer tonight, and give it a try.

Thanks alot for the great insights :)

You might have checked this already, but when I first was having this issue - the problem was that I had still had a hard copy of the class in the DD folders. The installed hard copy and the subbed copy cannot co-exist, so make sure you have removed all files related to the class from the DD folders.
