Mutators
Host sided mutators work on the lobby and everyone can play them. Client sided mutators can only be played by players with the same mods. You need at least version 1.9.6 of the main mod to run these and the Overkill 193+ difficulty mod is required.

Host sided:
  • Whurrkill[www.dropbox.com] - Whurr's difficulty overhaul based on PD2. Thank Cycokillah for the name.

Client sided / requires mod:
  • Headaches for all[www.dropbox.com] - Implements the similarly named challenge card from RAID in PD:TH. Headshot damage is increased by 50%, but enemies are only vulnerable to headshots.
  • Headshots mode[www.dropbox.com] - Implements the similarly named challenge card in PD:TH. Enemies die with one headshot, but you have half the health and armor. For bulldozers you need to destroy the the glass on their helmet first. Very hackery as well. ^^
  • PS3 Difficulty emulator[www.dropbox.com] - Because I wanted to try it out. The controller part is optional :steammocking:
  • Air Control[www.dropbox.com] - Only deal damage while in mid air. You get a 50% headshot bonus.

I should probably also mention that the menu system in PD:TH is bad. So I hid the mutators under the difficulty selection item. Just click or press enter on it.

Client sided mods that can be considered cheats all disable challenges and completion times. Moreover, everyone needs those mods to play in these lobbies. Mutators are visible on the endgame screen.

Normally there wouldn't be any notification that this would be the case and you'd only find out mid game. I didn't like that and that's why this framework requires one of two things: A welcome message stating that such a mutator is active or everyone needs to have the exact same mods.

"Headaches for all" -
who's aim for body? while not being a player with high accuracy I still have a decent overall Kills / Headshot ratio (nearly 60), so how about for the players generally having high accuracy? it's nothing.

"Headshot mode" -
If someone wants to 1 shot kill a bulk you can do it on Overkill difficulty & on 145+ too using bronco, But you need to reload on 5 or 6 depend on how you are used to it & it takes a fraction delay to acquire targets on far, so let's give 1 shot ability for M308?
It doesn't matter you have 1/10th of the health, all you need is to keep a certain distance & M308.

Why include cheat mods? both head shot mods are cheats for kill farming. If you gonna take this path why not include "No reloads", "M308 Mag capacity increase" ....etc. just put some condition & call it a challenge.

There are certain games / servers have headshot mods, it's for the people looking for an extra challenge not for cheating, so there are no damage increase.
Request: That Raid WW2 challenge card where players can only attack while in mid-air, so you'd have to jump to shoot enemies, in exchange for increased headshot damage.

Well never mind this is fking breach of trust being an admin of my group & release cheats. Do what ever you want with people who want to use this cheat mods.

I always respected that people have the right to use trainers or what ever cheats on their private lobbies, they bought the game to play the way they want.
But being the most well known player other than CH in the community publishing cheats that's a different story. Specially with bundled with DAHM so called an anti cheat mod.

If this is the way few remaining veteran players play the game I won't be bother with things which I have planned for the community which I was working past few months anymore. Why bother when people using fucking cheats.

FYI: It's not bundled and you have to download these mods. Moreover, it disables challenges and completion times and everyone needs those mods to play in these lobbies.

These were just mutator tests basically and none of these mods are particularly useful. Okay, the PS3 thing kinda is a bit cheat when playing with a team, but you won't gain anything useful when playing it other than cash. And since Overdrill is a thing...

I don't see the gameplay element in this other than it being cheats. Yes, the PS3 one is as well

Added. Couldn't find the name of the card in RAID so I just give it a name that came to mind. Probably won't do any more of these mods as I probably won't use them anyway.

That was fast. Thanks. FYI, that challenge card was one of the Halloween ones: https://steamcommunity.com/games/414740/announcements/detail/1441575842202979922

I think that's still not enough. Any stats should not be synced if obtained using any gameplay changing mod. Except the 193+ difficulty because it doesn't mess with any weapons' or enemies' stats and accepted by the community much time ago.

My motivation for just disabling only those stats is that mutators don't necessarily make the game easier and I don't expect them to be played very often. And for the most part all stats should average out as they're just incremental. That is, if you don't exclusively use mods to make the game easier. But I guess I could make a few changes to disable all stats for the ones currently listed. Imo weapon rebalance mods mess with stats a lot more.

I did try them out by myself and these mods really aren't as easy as their description may make it sound. Excluding the PS3 one of course, that one is just a straight cheat that many people wanted to try. But for that one I don't expect it to be played after a few rounds of seeing how boring it is with a team.

edit: No stats are now published to Steam for mods with their challenges disabled.

Does this include the modified task scheduler? I see that it is considered a mutator as it can be ticked in the mutator enable/disable toggle. I have use_modified_task_scheduler = true in user.lua so that I have it enabled whenever I'm hosting or in single player.

It only applies to the client sided mods.

To think this sparked the split of two giants

One year already...

updated whurrkill, no longer selectable on 193+ as it didn't do anything when enabled on 193+
