Perhaps the only "Celebrety death" which actually hit close to me. Perhaps it was his age, but I think it was because love him or hate him, he was up front about what he was. I really enjoyed listening to his podcasts, seeing his videos, and while I didnt always agree with him, I did respect his opinions and saw why he made them. Rest well TB, may your frames never drop...

That's the thing with TB, he was a pretty polorizing figure at times but love or hate him almost everyone respected him and that's something rare, especially online.

The guy was a force of nature.

He introduced me to some of my favorite games, and while I may not have agreed with everything he said, I was a long time fan of his regardless.

It was hard enough hearing he had cancer, let alone that he had passed away. He may have been a polarizing figure in the community, but he was a man to be respected. He will be sorely missed.

Rest in peace John Bain, your legacy will live on in the community, your friends, fans, and your family.

started watching his videos before i got into PC gaming and now im a PC only type of gamer... he also got me into League when all of my friends tried and failed to get me to try it.. watching him play it made me want to give it a try.. R.I.P TB you will be missed by so many people.. a god among men.

While I did not outright cry over his passing and I did not personally
agree about everything he said and did...

I just have this.... really uncomfortable feeling in my gut :steamsad:

I enjoyed his videos a LOT, I've bought many games after being directed to them
by his the "WTF is...." series, I've also avoided wasting money on stinkers thanks to it.

And his Hearthstone videos we're, to me atleast, weirdly relaxing to watch even
though I've hardly played the game myself. Same with his Starcraft casting and videos.

I will miss him :steamsad:
