Rubles. I'd say that they'd be Russian ones.

It's cool that so many different countries can all use the steam market and buy each others' stuff :D :thief:

Short for "rub/ruble(s)", I have no idea why they use cyrillic with them though, it just leads people into more confusion.:tank:

You can easily find out from witch country the unknown currency is, when you have a look at profile of your trading partner :) There you can see the country from where he oder she comes.

When you're logged in into steam, all currencies automatically converted to your regional equivalent. So it's irrelevant. Besides, currency i'm trading with is rubles, but from a mere glance at my profile, does it look like i'm from russia? Your argument is invalid, but I digress.

Actually, if you check your market history, it shows the currency people bought your items with. That's how I know that 5 of the things I've sold were bought with euros and 2 with rubles. :penny:

In dead it is the Russian currency but something you need to know is the fact that Steam has accidentally replaced the decimal symbol: " . " with a comma " , ". So when using a converter to keep track of your "????, Profit" put in the decimal symbol, not the comma.

I think in Europe they use commas instead of periods when dealing with currency

Oh.... lol. I thought they just made a mistake :P

It is true: Europeans (and other countries) use "." instead of "," and vice-versa. So to an European "3.500" would be "thirty-five hundreds", not "three and half".

It can get confusing. I never understood why they didn't choose a standard symbology. In a way I can understand Imperial vs. Metric, but here we are talking about a point and a comma.

just my two cents, or rubles or whatever: it's a bit annoying when something sells in a different currency, because I'm not sure what it is in my own currency - perhaps if steam wants to do it that way, it should show what currency the item was bought in and another column for what it was converted to in our native currency. :engi:
