Whats the deal with steam authentication system?

I used to sell my items just fine before the implementation of steam autentication factor on the mobile app, when it was added it was a pointless extra step that made things much slower, but that isn't the questionable part.

The worst thing isn't the app itself but the urge to remember to deactivate it once you are changing your smartphone. I am an individual who changes his phone very often (let's say once every 2 years, on this occasion 1 year after the purchase of the previous one) and trying to remember to turn the autentication off before selling the phone is stressful. I once sold my old phone to a friend of my father and turns out i wasn't able to remove the authentication anymore because i forgot beforehand. Removing it after the deal was escruciating, so im eager on NOT using the authenticating system anymore, but this create a problem:

Steam nowdays forces you to run the authenticating protocol or else you would have delays of 15+ days while selling your steam items, and that is an helluva problem since market prices go up and down constatly, leaving you at the bottom of the market place with always the wrong pricing.

What im saying is: i never needed of this security in first place. If an item was kinda valuable steam would send me an email of confirmation before selling......AND THATS IS ALL I CARE FOR SECURITY! There was no need for steam authetication to exists, but now its only purpose seems to prevent me for selling my own sh*t completely.

Feel free to send a petition for this issue, but it will need more than 50% of Community to sign it to get that authenticator removed
