removing tabs on inventory
because of the sales items i already have 7 empty tabs in my in my inventory related to games that i don't own and that i will never buy. it's a mess and i can't find a way to remove those tabs. maybe this is a dumb question and it's probably something easy to do, but i really can't find a way to remove it. can anyone explain me how to fix it. thanks ;)

I do not think it's possible to remove the game tabs yourself by default. I have heard that if you re-install the game and delete all characters, then remove the game, the tab will be gone.

This is something you could try but it won't work as long as you still have items in the tabs or in the marketplace for that game. It obviously also won't work if you don't own the game.

Otherwise, your best bet is to contact Steam support directly and ask if they can remove the tabs.

the tabs are completly empty and the problem is that those tabs are from games that i'll never want in my account :\

If that is the case, your only real option is to contact Steam support directly.

I contacted Steam Support about a month ago to remove my Dota 2 inventory page. They refused to help me in any way. Here's what they said:

Thank you for contacting Steam Support.

We apologize for the delay.

The inventory page cannot be removed.

Free to play titles that have not been fully deleted from your computer may also be visible in your Steam library.

To remove these games yourself (as you don't actually have a cancelable subscription for these titles):

1) Launch Steam and log in to your account

2) Go to the Library > Games list.

3) Right-click on the game which you would like to remove

4) Select "Delete Local Content..." from the menu

5) Click the "Delete" button to remove the installed content from your machine

6) Double click on the game if you wish to re-install it.

They should give you the option to remove the inventory page yourself if you do not have any items for that particular game. It's disgutsing how little customization they give you for your Steam profile. A showcase here and there for every $35-$60 is just plain lazy.

well... but i didn't install any free to play titles. i got all the inventory tabs crafting cards on sales and getting unwanted items from unwanted games that i don't own. i gave away all those items or traded it right away since i don't want to keep trash that i don't use or need.

i'm going to contact steam support. thanks for all the tips ;)

If you guys use your web browser you can remove the empty inventory-tabs with Adblock -This way you won't see them anymore.

Works for me with Chrome and Adblock

Genius! But, you won't see anyone elses either, right? And surely this will eventually have an impact on adblock's database if enough people do it?

Could it be that they fixed the issue? Empty inventories don't show anymore, even in Steam client.
