My money is gone with an order I never placed
I have about 155 USD in my steam wallet and today it's only 0.55 left, I found there's a transaction in my history which I never did.

I'm getting an item from Counter-Strike that costs about 155. I never played Counter-Strike, by no means I want that item.

Steam you have to tell me something, and get money back

Today I got reply from Steam, which is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, they are not helping at all but saying my computer is compromised with malware, so it’s my problem not theirs, they also said they can’t do anything about it, I was like what the f.

Here’s what they say:

Hello,

If activity occurred on your account you do not recognize, it may mean your account or computer has been compromised.

Someone may have gained access to your Steam account through spoofing, phishing, or malware.

As an immediate first step, you should take some action to secure your Steam account from further access. Our article on account security recommendations is a good start toward securing your Steam account.

If you suspect your computer is infected with malware, we have some tips for removing malware from your computer here. It may be a good idea to contact a local computer security expert if you're having trouble removing this malware.

Additionally, all Community Market transactions are final and cannot be reversed or refunded. When an item is purchased from the Community Market, the cost is sent from the buyer's Steam wallet to the seller's. Reversing these purchases would mean we have to take funds out of the seller's wallet, creating confusion and possible purchasing issues across Steam.

I'm sorry we can't be of more help with this, but we don't reverse or refund Community Market purchases and sales.

I'm running 2 lot of IPS and Norton anti virus , I NEVER click on links on E-mails , but connect direct , I used 2FI and you would think they would have changed my E-mail or password . First time anyone hacked an account and it's steam .
I smell the sweet smell of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in the air !!!

I had the same problem here, my money and itens are gone
zic May 5, 2024 @ 5:44pm
I don't believe it's my fault. I have enabled anti-virus software and my account is protected by 2FA. I can't imagine what else I should be doing to protect it.

I think we are all there against the authority, which is steam here, they never start investigation and simply push us away, saying that "malware on your computer", or "you account is hacked", well, in my opinion, is worst excuse for their irresponsibility.

What we can do there to protect our money and our items? If Steam is not providing a safe place, I won't even spend a penny on this damn ♥♥♥♥ platform

Literally yesterday I got woken up from the notifications on my phone going nuts because my inventory was magically disappearing AGAIN right before my eyes… I took every precaution step necessary you can think of in order to prevent this crap from happening AGAIN I had steam guard enabled a really complicated password a email specifically for steam only the whole works.. now having dealt with this before I’m absolutely positive it wasn’t $#!% on my end and was a mass thing a few days ago… and just like last time because steam or whatever is being flooded somehow their is no option or anything but to watch my inventory disappear and wait till whoever or whatever is done before steam will become responsive again to begin changing my password etc… this isnt a isolated problem and its bulls#!+ in my opinion like come da ♥♥♥ on steam.. seriously!! Come on…

Hi, it happened to me last month and I even didn't send ticket, because I felt it's useless, when I saw this forum. But it looks still continues. There was no suspicious activity either, what can I do, when my vaccines say, it's all ok? I just decided to lock my market forever.

That happened to me today. When I turned on the phone, 47 mail and all items of my storage was sold at about 2$3, and I usually bought it.I hope this situation is unpleasant, and I hope that this situation is not allowed to do this situation

P.S. I have some prediction of what country this was done by, so I'm going to change it to my current profile picture to prevent hacking from happening again.
