7 DAYS - 1 YEAR MARKET RESTRICTION
So I had a restriction from the market saying that I have to make a 7 day - 1 year old purchase in order to lift it. I know what caused this, its because I haven't made a purchase for quite some time now (correct me if im wrong). My question is, is making a purchase the only way to lift it?

correct, the market is intended for active customers. If you haven't bought a game in a year, you are not an active customer.

It is also a way to limit scripted accounts that are used to farm items and resell them.

no. game keys arent sold by steam and will not remove the limitation. Receiving a gift does not work either.

you must add $5 and spend it on a game, or gift one to someone else.

I want to ask you guys something... i have the same thing and i bought a free game.. my first question is: Do you have to wait 7 days after you bought it or not? and Do free games work for this restriction?? Please someone answer!! I'm desperate for help!!!!

Free games do not work, you need to spend $5 on a game of gift.

Besides, you cannot buy a free game... It's free...
