Unable to trade.
Hello peeps!

I Really need some major help here..
I have an issue when i try to make a trade-offer with other people!

It says i need to have my Steam Guard Activated for atleast 15 days and so i have. (18 days in fact)

But i am still not able to send or recieve any trade offers...

Can someone help me to fix this issue?

Well, it wouldn't be 18 days, since you registered on Steam 17 days ago.

If you're on regular Steam Guard, you should check [Steam > Settings > Account] for when you activated it. Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator gives you an e-mail titled Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator added

I Tried with Mobile Auth. It was activated for 18 days and i confirmed it but i still wasnt able to make any trades

you need both steam guard email AND steam guard mobile authenticator active to trade with no holds.

you have only 1 of the 2. email or mobile phone. add the one you dont have and the countdown will finally begin.

this is why your shield is yellow.

and for trading, both traders must have these two active for their to be no holds on the trade.

Isnt it only 1 of them i can activate ? Or is it possible to have both activated?

steam guard email must be active. no getting around this. if you only have this, it is a 15 day hold on trading. = yellow shield.

steam mobile authenticator must be active and after the first 7 days you will no longer have holds on trades as long as the other user also has the mobile active.

when you have both active the shield turns green.

So, do you or do you not have a cooldown? Far too many people claim holds equal inability.

Mobile Authenticator Removed
Removing a Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator reduces your account security. To help protect your items, you will be unable to trade or use the Community Market for 15 days. In the case your account was compromised, this cooldown gives you time to recover your account and reinstate your security without losing your items.


Once you're able to trade. You need to wait 7 days (it's concurrent with the 15 day cooldown) from enabling Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator for there to be no holds when items leave your inventory.

If you receive any items in trades, then the other party involved must've also met the requirements for the trade to not be held. Otherwise simply receiving items; and buying from the Market will not have holds whether or not you've met the requirements.
