If this is true and it still doesnt work, open up budhud/scripts/hudanimations_tf.txt
In it, at the top it should be like this (don't pay attention to the linear numbers, those are just there to specify the ammount of time the crosshair will change color, if it does):
If you are not using whaywhy's crosshair then try this:
Go to hudlayout.res in scripts, (I will be using crosshair1 as an example, but apply this to the crosshair of your choice)
NOTICE the fgcolor set as ya_crosshair1, as i have it FOR ME. yours will probably be different, just put in the green color u wanted from the begining for fgcolor in crosshair(#)
What crosshair are you trying to use? Is it an in-game crosshair or custom crosshair?
A. If it's whayay's crosshair, make sure you're changing both entries in: (ya_crosshair and ya_xhairflash). The defaults for those two are "255 255 255 255" (white) and "240 134 49 255" (orange flash on damage).
B. If you're using one of Fog's crosshairs, make sure you're changing the entry for "fog_crosshair" (the default is also 255 255 255 255, or white).
As this is a change in clientscheme.res, you'll have to restart your game when you change your crosshair's color.
E: Huh, that's odd...it appears to be this file:
If you remove that, it'll fix the issue. I'll try to figure out why exactly the crash is happening, but I assume it's because TF2 is trying to reference a specific line of code for MvM that I removed in that file.
how do I reduce the font size / is there a fix?
I'm on a mac btw, mac air 2013
First off, thank you for creating and maintaining the HUD. I love it!
I just installed the files a few hours ago, and followed all the instructions. The game loads fine, and I can join a server and begin playing, but after 5-10 minutes, the game suddenly crashes with no warning, and no error messages are shown. This has happened twice, once when connected to a local server, and once when connected to an online server.
I'm playing on Windows 8.1. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
For the former, I'm not sure what the issue is -- for the latter, that's how it's supposed to look right now. That's one of the things I'm still trying to figure out.
For reference, this is what mine looks like, so I'm not sure what numbers you could be referring to: http://i.imgur.com/Exgwqwv.png
I'll try to figure out why this is happening, that is odd.. I'm not sure if it's TF2 or my hud. I'll get back to you guys when I can.
Thanks!
If it's any help at all, I've noticed that it crashes whenever I first die.
