HUD Questions / Bugs / Feature Requests
Nowadays, Discord is much better for getting quick help with budhud questions: https://discord.gg/TkxNKU2

If you prefer, though, you can always create a thread here in the General Forums and (assuming I get a notification from Steam) I'll answer it :)

I keep track of all issues I know of here[github.com]. Any issues open but labeled as "Fixed" or "Feature Added" simply haven't been pushed to the latest version of the hud, and will be released soon.

The best information to include when reporting a bug/issue/etc
  • When / how / where it happens
  • A screenshot of what it looks like
  • Your resolution
  • Your operating system

Yo whisker, sometimes when I respawn after being killed health keeps being red even when i'm full, thats kinda annoing. By the way, Hud is perfect as well as the Budsquad! Cheers :>

Hey Whisker, i was wondering if there was a way to have the cross crosshair go behind the in-game crosshairs, so basically is there a way to have truktruk's crosshair?

This is a pretty common bug with most huds (to my knowledge, at least); the way to fix it is to type hud_reloadscheme in your console.

I can't test this right now because I need to work soon, but under the crosshair's definition in hudlayout.res you could try adjusting the zpos value to something like -50. If that doesn't work, though, I'm not sure what would.

I relation to changing the crosshairs, I've followed the instructions on github about changing "f" across from "labletext" in "hudlayout.res" to the letter of the crosshair you want but when i do this the crosshair doesn't change in game, is there something I'm doing wrong?

Are "visible" and "enable" set to 1 as well?

Could you take a screenshot of what it looks like? I believe the file you want to edit is in resource\ui\hudinspectpanel.res

Huh, I'm not really sure why that's happening; mine appears in the proper place (lower right area). Are you on the second-latest version (v1.0.5)?

Hey Whisker, I'm having the same problem as Quinny. I change "f" to the letter I want and it appears as a different one. I have visible and enabled set to 1. The crosshair that is showing in-game is above "c" in the Fog's crosshair picture.

I got it working in the end, but if you havent already you must install Notepad++ (http://notepad-plus-plus.org/), because otherwise its impossible to understand. Then go to "hudlayout.res" and the list of crosshairs are in there with a section dedicated to each one. To turn one on set "visible" and "enabled" to 1. But if you want to try a few different ones make sure to switch each of them back to "0" or you'll have multiple crosshairs. Hope that helped. :>
Also Whisker im having the same issue as Nameless, but dont know if i have the latest version or not.

Just realized with this that the team bar isn't where it should be; I switched my resolution to 1600 x 900 (which looks to be your resolution) and it's fine on my end. Weird...

I think I finally fixed that inspect bug; I was having trouble finding it because I didn't have cl_spec_carrieditems enabled :D. It SHOULD be fixed now, but let me know if it isn't.

The one file I edited can be found here[mega.co.nz]. It goes in budhud\resource\ui. If it's still not fixed let me know.

Yo, make sure to remove the duck journal thing from the main menu in the next update. It's expired.
