HUD Update Information

Edit November 2017: I no longer update this specific thread, and instead post updates in the Discord. That said, the hud is updated!

Instead of annoying people with announcements, I'm just going to post updates here. Subscribe to the discussion to see when there are updates released for the hud.

I apologize in advance for how often I update the hud, which may make it difficult for those who like customizing their hud a lot. I try to make these notes as clear as possible so people know whether or not it's important that they update.

Major Update
  • Fixed error in font reference causing Verdana to be used instead

Minor Updates
  • Disabled added text for ready up mode
  • Fixed odd cutoff for three-digit numbers on ready up
  • Fixes MvM boss floating health cutoff (when using tf_hud_target_id_disable_floating_health 0)

Cannot believe this happened rofl. For the past four+ months, I'm the only one who has been seeing the correct font on the hud. Because I was missing one hyphen in the font reference, all of you have probably been seeing Verdana as the font the hud uses. This fixes that.

Fixing it yourself is easy, and I encourage everyone to do it.
1. Go here:
budhud\resource\clientscheme
2. CTRL + F //budhud font
3. Find the entry "resource/fonts/LatoSemibold.ttf" and add a hyphen in between Lato and Semibold. In other words, it should look like this: http://i.imgur.com/5ljymPz.png

As of this update, matchmaking should (by and large) be fully and completely functional now.

  • Fixed overlap issue with Airstrike and MvM canteen (thanks Merpy)
  • Fixed partial gray border appearing when hovering over certain items in your backpack
  • Updated appearance of sourcescheme to be cleaner (100% less orange)
  • Updated appearance of statclock, strange, unusual, and paint icons in the backpack
  • Updated healthpulse animation in the hopes of preventing red health from getting stuck after respawning (normally fixed by hud_reloadscheme)

  • Updated hudtournament (again). Should be functioning properly on all resolutions
  • Updated spydisguise animation to disable spy outline by default
  • Updated uber tracking. Now can be found in hudlayout, which allows it to be enabled on any class
