How to (automatically) import Steam games into Backloggery (bltool or other)
Hello guys as the title says... I have lot of games to be traced into my own backloggery account (I rellay liked the idea) but I dont want to manually import them!!!

I did some research on the automatically games import and I discovered there is not an official and immediate solution supported >:(

I find out this bltool that seems helpful: https://github.com/ToxicFrog/bltool

The problem is that I am not able to run it (I admit I am awful in programming especially java under Windows :tank:)... I read the instructions I change all parameters but nothing happen...

Is there someone that used bltool (or similar tools) and that could help me out with this?

Thanks alot and happy holydays!

I just used this on Mac OSX fairly painlessly. I found the shell script useful for understanding but it wasn't setup to push the entries into backloggery only exporting into a text file.

1. Go to https://github.com/ToxicFrog/bltool/releases and download the latest release zip file.
2. Extract the zip file somewhere you can get to easily via command prompt.
3. Ensure you have a Java Runtime installed http://www.java.com/en/ and added to your PATH variable. (i.e. so you can type java -version from the command line anywhere and get a response)
4. Open a terminal and navigate to the extracted zip directory.
5. Type in the command (replacing the full $Value with your usernames and passwords) and press enter to run.

java -jar bltool.jar --from steam --to backloggery --steam-name $STEAM_NAME --bl-name $BL_NAME --bl-pass $BL_PASS

EX:
java -jar bltool.jar --from steam --to backloggery --steam-name joesteamid --bl-name joeuser --bl-pass myblpassword
Thank you so much! :D

I did it on Windows.
Yes it should, Java is cross platform so it would work the same way with just some subtle differences in setting up Java and adding it to the environment's PATH variable.
Under: Automated Input and Retrieval, The Backloggery Terms of Use

"Except by permission or through an authorized API (none of which currently exist), you may not add to or query your backloggery automatically."
so in 2016 they still didnt develop any tool? :steamfacepalm:

A EULA is only worth as much as the writer's inclination to enforce it.
I still have no idea how to do any of this. I've got Java installed, I know how to use command prompt, I know how to write batch programs... but none of this makes any sense. Send help.
