Playing a game and having ASF active
Hello and congratulations for your work.

As it is known, ASF deactivates a game after the user loads a game for real through Steam.

As I have seen so far though, Steam may give you cards up to two simultaneous games, even if you have surpassed the 2 hours limit.

So, having used SAM or Idle Master in the past, I used to play my preferred game and having a second virtual game running in the background and I kept getting all the cards from both games.
That didn't work in most situations if I had more than 3 simultaneous games.

Is there any way to force ASF to run in the backround with an active game and let me play at the same time?

Thank you.

No, because ASF does not work this way.

Although you will get card drops from other games, even when ASF is not farming the game, that's one of the reasons why check is done every 5 minutes. Because steam registers that request, even when it's not allowing client to be in actual playing state.

Also another question when i exit asf when the farm is still not completed and it says 13 hours remaining and open it again will it stay on 13 hours or is it gonna start all over again? also another question when i collected all of the trading cards in a game and it says no card drop remaining will your program still farm the remaining cards or no?

I've noticed that after quitting ASF during farming, I may still collect the next waiting card, even if ASF is closed. After that, no.

When no cards remain from any game, the ASF will remain idle or it will load a selected game or games, according to your settings. The default setting is to do nothing.

Remaining cards is more important than time here. Remaining time is an estimated (~) time that ASF gives you. So, when you closed ASF with an x amount of cards left to farm and you start ASF later up again, it starts with the same x amount cards left to farm.

When there are no cards left to farm, ASF will (of course) not farming cards. When there are other games left that has trading cards, ASF will continue farming these games.

Since you are a new user I strongly recommend to read the wiki to get a better understanding of ASF and the functions it has to offer.
