[Question] How to add a license for a free game to multiple Steam accounts?
Hello,

I'm totally new to this and have been thinking about using this software for months but kept procrastinating becasue of the learning curve involved in it.

My question/request: Could anyone explain to me step by step on how to add license of a free game to my 5 steam accounts? I read the wiki but am confused about so many things. My main account already has the game so I need to add it to 4 more accounts.

I went to the ASF config site and made a bot account for one of my accounts. But I don't know what to do next. Do I need to make 5 bots for 5 accounts? Which one should I use as my main?

I understood one thing that you can command a bot by inviting it to chat or making a steam group and adding all your accounts to it? If I go by the Steam group route, do I need to manually add each of my account to that group, using the Steam site? And what info do I need to put in the ASF config for each bot so I can command them all at once globally?

It's all so confusing.

P.S: Sorry, English isn't my 1st language, so it's possible that I didn't explain it well. Sometimes I have to write too much to explain a small thing and even then oftentimes it doesn't work.

Thanks in advance.

To answer all your questions full re-post of https://github.com/JustArchi/ArchiSteamFarm/wiki will be required here. Maybe we can save some time if you read it on the original location? You wrote quite a long post, so I believe your english is good enough to understand it all, it's not hard at all. Start from "Setting up" and "Configuration", and then read about "Commands". That's pretty much all you need. Don't forget that many questions already answered in "FAQ".

I'm sure the task that I require can be explained in a few steps. There is no explanation of it over there. I already stated that I read it as much as I could. It's too much complicated info for a foreigner whose 1st language isn't English.

Also, only I know my level of a language. I used words here that I use often. It doesn't mean I'm an expert and can read and understand everything. Long post does not mean good skills. My vocabulary is very limited and I'm not familiar with many things in daily use of this language. If you try to learn my language, then perhaps you'll understand the problems faced by the person who is not speaking their native language.

I came here because I'm really confused and don't want to take any risk with Steam accounts. I was sure I will receive help. I'm sure it's just a few steps.

Your arguments failed, because English is not my native language too, so I know pretty good what problems you have. And that's why I can judge from your posts that your level is enough to read wiki. If it is not - then you also won't understand any help in this discussion too, and should seek for help from someone talking in your native language. What I see is you just using your "lack of language" because you are just lazy to read a couple of pages.
Also, you didn't ask just one question, there is a bunch of them in start post. And while language in title impies that you have asf configured and runnung, your other questions (like "Do I need to make 5 bots for 5 accounts?") make me think that you know nothing at all... And to tell you everything from the start means write all written in the wiki all-over again.
But, if you insist, here is your few steps:
1. Read https://github.com/JustArchi/ArchiSteamFarm/wiki/Setting-up
2. Read https://github.com/JustArchi/ArchiSteamFarm/wiki/Configuration
3. Read https://github.com/JustArchi/ArchiSteamFarm/wiki/Commands
4. ????????
5. PROFIT!

There is no any sort of "risk with Steam accounts", only lazyness over reading wiki and looking for "quick fix" rather than reading manual.

Language barrier is entirely invalid argument - if you have a problem with understanding a particular text in particular place then feel free to ask, I'll be happy to answer the same way I did here.

But you're not asking about further explanation, you're asking "how to do X", and wiki answers that question.

You are saying you can judge my level is good. Then you are saying that I did not write the title properly. First you cannot judge anyone's language skills. I live in a poor country and taught English to myself. I know very little. How do you think you and I have same problems? You probably got training for the language. I did not. You probably went to a good school. I did not. Also, I'm very sure you have been in a very good position in every way than mine. Too many factors. Try to think realistic.

Giving me links to same stuff is not helping. You wasted so much effort writing this stuff. Instead you could easily help me in a few lines if you wanted.

Mr Archi,

First thank you for this tool. But I have not been able to use it yet. Please point me to where it says "How to add license in ASF to multiple accounts" in your wiki. I'm sorry but your wiki does not answer this and info is mixed and scattered all over the place which makes it more confusing.

Also, before saying "language barrier is entirely invalid argument", try to learn a foregin language on your own and see.

Thank you

I guess it was a mistake coming here. Somebody told me to come here and ask for help. Well, I guess I'll just keep trying to do this on my own and MAYBE if I succeded, I'll write a tutorial myself and show that it's not hard to explain in simple steps on how to do something.

You are asking without reading a wiki. Thats your problem because you are lazy.

Read my posts. I did read it, and I kept reading it for hours. I understood a few things but not others. Learn to read before calling somebody lazy.

I'm frustrated now and I don't want to talk about this anymore. Mods can close this if you want.

The link under which you'd already go if instead of discussion about language barrier you'd read manual of the program you want to use instead - https://github.com/JustArchi/ArchiSteamFarm/wiki/Commands

In case you didn't notice, I'm from Poland where we speak Polish and not English. Those two are not even from the same language family (slavic vs west germanic), making them even more difficult to learn. Trying to blame language barrier when you have access to google translate, internet, youtube videos and even this board where people would be glad to explain in easier words things you'd be genuinely confused about is beyond the level of idiocy I'm capable of discussing.

Blaming everything and everybody else but yourself can only lead to people like me further discouraged from answering your questions and helping you. You're not only entirely wrong in your posts, but you do not even bother accepting opinion of other people. This is effectively my last response in this thread, and per your request, closed thread.

Consider changing your attitude, for your own good.

You wrote the title properly, it just does not corresponds with text in post. You ask many questions, and then you want a short and simple answer. It's not about language barrier, it's about logic, and logic does not depend on language.

Such a good skills at assumptions, but all for nothing.I live in the poorest european country, and I learned english from videogames and online discussions. What is your next excuse to be lazy?

Same is right for you. You spent a lot of time writing here (and reading my answers too), instead of just reading few pages of VERY SIMPLE text.

Once again - I can give you answer. But will it be enough for you? To understand something you need base knowledge, and from your post I have no idea what you know and what you dont't... So I don't know how deep in details explanation should be (well, you know how to type and use mouse, and you have some OS installed for sure, but that's it). If I elaborate too much - it will be waste of time (and copy of the wiki, as I said). If I give too shallow answer - you may not understand it, and you will only have more questions...And you already have a lot. So, that's why I suggest reading wiki - this way you are guaranteed to get your answers.
