Has anyone noticed how nobody ever has their town open to the public in new leaf?

I remember getting the original AC the first month it was out. I never figured out how to do multiplayer though

I got New Leaf in 2013. I love it. its better than Tomodachi Life.

ACNL Networking is pretty simple, you will have to exchange your friend code with the other person(s) that you want to play the game with online, (you'll find your Friend Code at the main 3DS menu to the top-right side of the lower screen - note that you will also the require the other person's friend code to be able to play with them online.) When you've added them, start up your town and head all the way north till you find a gate-like trainhouse where you will have to open your gate/port so that others can visit your town. (The same process goes for the other person's village, if you're to visit them!)

Just made a discussion about Aika Village, I left the dream code for that town should you guys want to visit it.

Remember that this is the last day for the raccoon wall-clock! Also, there's a workaround if you don't have a Best Buy in your area (Not sure if it works in Europe):

You gotta remember to put your stuff in the basket at the island, or else it gets automatically sold at a horrible price and the bells get deposited into your savings account.

Does anybody know if Kapp'n steals your items? I lost my wet suit and fishing rod. At first I thought I sold them by mistake but then I realized both times I found them missing after getting back from the Island. So I started buying copies of every tool but I'm still not sure if he stole from me or not.
