"Very fun, deceptively simple, has only four controls - up left right down - , but deceptively deep for it. And I'm getting quite addicted, and it's got really good music as well."

There is a Judging by the cover for Another world. I'll ask around for Beyond good and evil.
As for Beyond Good and Evil, he might review it in the coming summer's slow release season.
"Furi's combat gets a wee bit parry-centric in the second half, and it won't last you very long if you are a hard games connoisseur, but it's original enough to make it worth giving a chance you stingy f**k!"

I had it on the radar but waited for the Zero Punctuation Wiki transcription because I couldn't be asked to transcribe it myself.
Recommendation is up now though. Thanks!

"It's a game about careful preparation rather than twitch reflexes, which specifically appeals to me because I've been known to code it up myself now and again, and there's something very satisfying about finding the quickest, most elegant solution. Or it could be the mere act of typing my commands makes me feel like a hacker in a Hollywood film from the late 90s, as long as I crack my knuckles a lot and say tragically outdated things that a middle-aged screenwriter once heard on an episode of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles."

"I like the core mechanic, but I get the impression the game is less interested in exploring it to the full as it is in pushing it through the - dare I say - ever-so-slightly pretentious storytelling elements."

EDIT: He also gave Quake a back-handed recommendation in his review, again not sure if that counts so I'll just leave the text here:
1:14
"In truth, I never liked Quake as much as other retro shooters, because if you want to find the evolutionary ancestor of brown and miserable modern shooters then Quake makes for a pretty good starting point. But for all that it is still a retro shooter of its time - high-octane shooting where you move faster than a hairless Filipino boy through a crowded bathhouse and the story never gets in the way of the action."

Sorry for taking forever to get back to you.
Well, I hesitate to add those two. While he seemed to like Quadrilateral Cowboy, he had quite a few "buts" attached to that declaration of admiration. And same with Quake. The only reason why he enjoys it seems to be that it nicely juxtaposes nowadays shooters.
But I'm probably just being overly picky.
Maybe there are others' opinions that can help?
Actually nevermind. He mentions his enjoyment of Quake again in Totalbiscuit's Co-Optional Podacast around the 50 minute mark. That should be enough to validate a recommendation.
Grow Home and Mother Russia Bleeds will also be added soon.
Still not sure about Quadrilateral Cowboy though.
'Night in the Woods is a solid "worth checking out", if strong writing is enough to make you forgive the very slow pacing and gameplay taking a backseat.'

I'm late and you're right. Added.
"It is a very weird game, on every level of story and gameplay design, and that might be enough; weirdness is refreshing. In the general blandness of life, weirdness alone is worth preserving"

In the ZP-post-stream he confirms that he "kinda liked it."

I didn't manage to keep up with his post-ZP-streams lately, so thanks for pointing it out.
In the review itself, he talks about how he considered recommending it but then wondered why he thought he liked it. The impression I get from the stream is that he ended up warming up to it and even put aside his distate for the "It get better later" excuse. So I'll put it on the list though I expect some backlash from people who only watch the review.
Thanks again to you.
The appropriate quote might be
"Hollow Knight's got the atmospheric world, the exploration and perhaps most importantly the sense that we're not pissing in the wind"
