In one of the endings, Leibnez has a face reveal (only to the player – not to any other characters). Despite being referred to as “he” in this game and in Blaster Master Zero 2, Leibnez has long hair and an ambiguous appearance.

According to illustrator Yuji Natsume, “I made his neck and waist slender to disguise his gender.”
