Robocop: Rogue City
IMHO, not woke at all. there is some strange stuff going on with mismatched voice actors and their character designs, but I really don't think its intentional, I think its just Polish Devs not understanding American ethnic dialects (e.g. an old asian guy speaking like a black gangsta, or a black guy speaking like a white southerner)

SPOILER AHEAD:
I have seen a video on YouTube argue that it is woke because if you take a cocky white officer with you instead of an eager young black one on a mission in a fish shop, there is no way to save the life of the shop-owner, whereas the younger black officer notices the sound of the criminal reloading through the door and you have a chance to save the owner....

...I mean, this COULD be for any number of reasons that make sense: younger guy with better hearing, younger guy more eager to expose himself to danger and less-risk averse...

I dunno, there are not very many black and white good/bad guys in robocop... Everything is pretty complicated.

If there was one legitimate woke thing to say about it, it would be that fact that almost all the criminals are either bikers (all white) or punks (mostly white)....
....the absence of a black gang presence in Detroit makes no sense.

That said, I seem to remember the criminals in the original films being mostly white punks lead by white organized crime (which also doesn't really match the reality of Detroit, but its in the future, so whatever I guess, its not like its some blatant revisionist history).

It is of course somewhat critical of corporate privatization of public services (eg the police) but again this is not over the top at all and matches the film... there's no EXTRA deconstruction of capitalism ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ added by some 22-year old gender studies graduate.

I think they are just trying to be true to the films, I don't think Robocop: Rogue City is woke and should be added to our list as a recommended game.

Ultimately, being woke is about altering things to prove a point about conflict between identities... and this game matches the film, its not altered at all, and there is nothing about identity politics in there.

As you would expect in a game from a Polish dev, there is ZERO LGBT+ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

TLDR: Some very slight anti-capitalism messaging, but anti-capitalism messaging that is completely consistent with the films the game is based on.

Whites are over-represented as criminals, but this is consistent with the films the game is based on.

The game is not woke and it's amazing.

Yea I agree but there is some guy on YT arguing that it is... I think his analysis is shit to be honest.
