Thanks in advance!
Microsoft needs to fix this windowed rendering in Win8 asap
My system:
ASRock Z77 Extreme 3
i7 2600k @ 4.0 GHz
GTX 970 @ 1304 MHz
8GB RAM @ 1600 MHz
Yeah I never found a fix :(
Doesn't seem to do it in Windows 10, but I don't like Windows 10, haha.
No way, it does it for you in Windows 10 too!? Maybe I didn't test it enough before downgrading back to 8.1...
Yeah the issue really sucks. Nearly all the Final Fantasy games on Steam run natively in Borderless Windowed mode too with no true-fullscreen option so it's a stutterfest.
Okay thanks! Will let you know if I discover a fix too.
Not sure if I'm bringing up an old thread, but I recently started noticing his issue as well in Windows 10 and was wondering if anyone had found a fix. I also have nearly he same specs. This happens to me in a simple game like league of legends lol :(
Disable Windows Aero.
any help is greatly appriciated.
Another issue with adaptive vsync, in fullscreen you can't use adaptive vsync, because it will give tearing, in some games even in borderless you'll get tearing with adaptive vsync.
Mostly though in window/bordered or borderless(done right)/fake fullscreen will have not an issue with adaptive vsync, you won't be getting those stutter anymore in game, and it turns the vsync off at full framerate. But you have to have it also enabled ingame.
If you have screen tearing issues even with vsync on, then just have to use standard, but that will give the microstutter when the scene moves, rotating the camera around won't cause it.
And all of this is on windows 7,
rant below
no reason for me to use win8(piece of garbage like winvista was), and win10 basically again winvista with it's new directx12, no reason to use win10, if you can still play any game on win7. Not to mention all the compatibility fuck ups with win10, friends can't even use any old diablo 2 patches to play the game, thus all current/old modding is broken. And to boot my motherboard is broken as fuck on win10, it gets online after installation, but when restarting or logging off and on, I can never get network drivers to work, tried multiple fixes for it without anything working, so win10 is a borked mess where it's better to start fresh and never have seen previous windowses and only with the newest hardware.
