Issue noticed with Windows 10 "Scale and Layout" above 100%
I have a PC connected to my 4kKTV with the Windows 10 Scale and Layout setting at 200%, just so I can make out what's going on. But this caused Windowed Borderless Gaming to also scale up my games (for example, Hollow Knight) 200%. Leading to only the upper left corner of the image filling the screen. Right clicking Windowed Borderless Gaming, selecting the Compatibility tab, checking off "Override high DPI scaling behavior. Scaling Performed by:" and setting it to Application, fixed this issue.

I was unable to find any information about this anywhere but managed to figure it out myself and thought I'd just throw out this post in the hopes of helping anyone who comes across the same issue.

I also have the correct resolution manually set in the game's Windowed Borderless Gaming setting. Without that I was also getting an odd and incorrect resolution defaulting in the actual game's settings.

Regards,

Thanks for the info. Always good to see useful tips for solutions to obscure issues that could happen when running so many settings variables.

Regards,
For older versions of Windows 10, and Windows Vista through 8.1 there is just a simple checkbox "Dissable display scaling on high DPI settings" that provides the same functionality.

For my own project high DPI was causing me trouble, until I learned the SetProcessDPIAware() and SetProcessDpiAwareness() functions, which when called before the first window is created can disable DPI scaling too.
