How to Play Halo 2 - Bungie Abandonware (Full working Multiplayer)
:fsshield: HALO 2 - Abandonware with Multiplayer Assets

Halo 2 and the rest of the Halo Franchise is owned by Bungie Studios, meritoriously continued in distributing and handling by 343 Industries on behalf of Microsoft Studios.

- Mount the .ISO and run the Setup (startup.exe), do custom installation and proceed with the selection "Full Game Installation, do not start", MAKE SURE IT IS INSTALLED In Program Files (x86)/Microsoft Games/Halo 2.

- In the midst of the installer, it maybe will ask you to verify your xbox live marketplace account and a game serial key, (Microsoft Live Games and the Microsoft Marketplace has discontinued XLive.dll multiplayer services to Halo 2 for Vista.) click Verify Later and wait for the installation to finish, continue to the next step.

- Place h2Update.exe in Program Files(x86)/Microsoft Games/Halo 2, patch the game.

- Run the game within where it is installed by placing and using h2online.exe, at Program Files (x86)/Microsoft Games/Halo 2; (make sure halo2.exe is set in compatability mode for windows 8 if using windows 10)

- Multiplayer will not work without using Project Cartographer (h2online.exe)!!!

Hello, thank you for posting this. Unfortunately, I've encountered an issue that doesn't allow me to proceed with the installation. I mounted the .ISO and launched startup.exe, which runs in Vista compatibility mode. However, I am unable to install the game no matter which option I select. I've already tried going into the services and changing the secondary logon to automatic, but it didn't help at all. If it helps, I'm using the 64-bit version of Windows 8.1. I know that asking for help in almost a year-old discussion is almost pointless, but right now it's the only option I have. Thank you in advance.

May be a problem with the .iso, may have to find another link that will hopefully prevent copyright evasion. I will try to look in the meantime.
