Digital Meow Review
Old School Computer Game
Remember the good old days of the early 2000s and their enjoyable pixel games, playable right from your own home? (I was born in 2004, but I still had an old timer as a kid.)
Well, this game tries to remaster those good times with a simple but fun, cute little pixel game of a cat chasing a mouse arrowhead.

The Game of The Play
Digital Meow is a simple, cute pixel game displayed on an old school computer theme. Containing 27 levels in total (levels 0 – 26).
All levels are unlocked, allowing the player to choose which level they want to play. As usual, the higher the level, the more difficult it is.

The gameplay consists of this cute little blobcat that jumps around on platforms in this small screen-sized area. Trying to catch the mouse arrowhead, and once it's caught, it will teleport to another platform where the blob cat has to go next.
After catching the arrowhead a few times, it will turn into a heart, which then activates the blob cat to be floating up and off the screen, completing the level.

The levels will start gaining different types of traps and even combine all of them with a different layout of the platforms. And as we all could have guessed, yes, the cat can die, but you're given the option to respawn.
Respawning simply respawns you at the spawn point of where you first spawned in. The level does not reset, so you can continue until you’ve finished the level, concluding that you can die however many times you’d like. (The only way to exit a level is also to simply die and press exit.)

Visual & Audio
Visuals
The game is displayed on an old computer screen, like from the early 2000s. And where games could only be the size of the screen and not load in new structures as the character moved further to the sides.
Digital Meow is very adorable with a small blob cat chasing a mouse arrowhead, being a pixel, 2D game.

Audio
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the music within the game, along with how it's displayed,’s reminding me of 80s-early 2000s techno rhythm music played by simple instruments.
There are no settings to change the volume for the music or sound within the game, but luckily it is not that loud.

Pros and Cons
    Pros
  • Cute Pixel Game
  • Blob Cat
  • VERY Cheap
  • Enjoyable Gameplay
  • Nostalgic Feeling

    Cons
  • No Volume Settings
  • Achievements Error

My final little thoughts
Digital Meow is quite enjoyable for a very low price and simply is a cute pixel 2D game.
The only issues that I've noticed are that there are no volume settings or settings at all within the game, and the achievements are not working.
Achievements contain starting the game, starting a level, touching the arrowhead, and touching the heart. All done multiple times but still 0/6 achievements unlocked.

Other than those small errors, the game is recommended.

Rating: 9/10
