Temtem's story goes beyond the typical 'become the best tamer' narrative. Set across a series of islands, each with its own culture and ecosystem, the plot weaves themes of friendship, rivalry, and ethical dilemmas in taming and battling creatures. It's a narrative that's both familiar to genre veterans and refreshingly new.

🎮Gameplay:

First Impressions-
I was under the impression it’s a clone of Pokemon and I wasn’t wrong, but it's refreshing and somewhat better in my opinion. The game starts with a character creation screen, a much-requested feature from fans of the genre. The options, though limited, allow for personalization. The game quickly diverges from the traditional monster collection formula, offering unique starter Tems and a gameplay experience that's both familiar and refreshingly challenging.

Depth and Strategy-
The stamina system in Temtem is a game-changer. It adds a layer of strategy that I haven't seen in other games of this genre. Battles require careful planning and foresight, making each victory feel earned and satisfying. Unlinke Pokemon where you only have the usual grass, water, fire combo, in Temtem you have 12 types and a well calculated and maintained defend attack chart. You may need to strategize your stamina use, because otherwise you have to rest or either switch your Temtem mid battle. You will spend a lot of your Pansun (in-game currency) on healing items and tem capture cards. Or maybe just grind the event pass for more content.

Multiplayer and Community-
Playing through the story with a friend adds a whole new dimension to the game. The community is vibrant and engaging, making the world of Temtem feel alive and dynamic. Even playing solo, I never felt alone in this world. But mainly I have played the game in co-op mode with my girlfriend and it was a great experience.

Exploration and Discovery-
Each island in Temtem is a new adventure. The world is expansive and filled with secrets to uncover. I loved the sense of progression as I trained my Tems, tackled each island's challenges, and overcame the Dojo leaders. Due to the auto trigger of finding and battling a wild Temtem, the game goes into the loop of repetitive experience. So you need to make sure you avoid unnecessary battles if they are not required.

The visuals in Temtem are a delight. The world is vibrant and full of energy, and the battle animations are some of the best I've seen in any game. It's clear that a lot of love and attention went into designing this game.

Kudos is like your in-game achievements and milestones that you can achieve for extra goodies. It’s a great addition for people who like to farm for milestones.

Competitive side-
Temtem also has a competitive rank side which personally doesn’t attract me due to my need for a chill experience from a game like Temtem. Just a personal preference, but if you are keen for ranked battles, then you are here for a treat with challenges and rewards.
