Leap of Faith Review
This review was made based on my experience playing on a Ryzen 5 3600, 16GBs of ram and a RX 6600, be mindful that my experience can differ from yours depending on the hardware.

Leap of Faith is a NSFW visual novel that tells the story of a young man that saves an emo girl from committing suicide and immediately tries to have sex with her…. I’m half joking, but if you don’t like that premise, this is the perfect time to close this review and move on with your life. Be aware that this game is for heterosexual males and goes a bit into the stalker side of being in a relationship.

Questions you might have if you're interested in playing it:

  • What is it exactly that you do in the game?

It’s a visual novel where you click on stuff, read dialogue, make decisions over random choices that can sometimes pop-out on the screen; and sometimes you get the option to explore small locations and chat with NPCs in order to progress the story… and you obviously watch short nsfw videos and slideshows.

  • Will it make my eyes bleed?

The backgrounds are kind of generic and a bit bland and sometimes the characters make some awful uncanny faces for no reason. But the NSFW bits are well animated videos of 2 to 3 seconds with awesome jiggle physics.

  • Does it have a good story?

I personally didn’t like it. Sure, this game has more effort poured into the story than your average NSFW game on steam. Some of the characters are funny and charming, but the rest are bland or annoying. There is an effort to make you care for the woman that you are about to have sex with, but the story simply didn’t click with me. Everything is too convenient and like any other NSFW game on steam, the story is just an excuse for you to see titties.

  • Does it have a good soundtrack?

It’s fine. I like that his game has a proper soundtrack with a playlist on the starting menu. I can’t say that I enjoyed it, but I certainly didn’t dislike it.

  • Does it have replay value?

The game offers you several choices for you to craft your story and for what I heard it has 11 different endings. With an average duration of 10 hours on your first play-through. I think it offers you plenty of replay value.

  • Does it run well?

I haven’t experienced a single technical issue, frame drop, stutter or crash.

  • Is it fun?

It’s going to depend on your tolerance for uncanny faces and how much you enjoy the story and the characters. For me it’s fun enough.

Is this game worth my hard earned money?

Even when some of the characters look uncanny, the NSFW bits are great and the story is above average compared to other NSFW visual novels that exist on steam. For the $11 that this game asks, the value proposition is not that bad. Just keep in mind that the faces of the characters do not always look natural and the story is a bit contrived. I think you are better off waiting for a sale.

Rating: 6/10
It is above average
