🎮Storyline:
The game takes place in the beautiful city of Miami where there is a ongoing drug war. You play as Detective Nick Mendoza who is trying to save the city but then the plot twist kicks in. Telling anything more will pretty much spoil the story, so play it yourself if you want to know the rest of the story!
In my opinion, the story is decent, and the game plays more like a movie. You’ll also see actors like Alexandra Daddario, so it really feels like you are playing a movie, instead of watching it. The story length is around 7 hours if you don’t rush the game, which is very short for a game worth 40 bucks.

🎮Gameplay:
When you are going to play a Battlefield game, you expect a fully action-packed military shooter themed gameplay. But well, we have BFH to add variety to the franchise. No armies, no terrorists- you’ll only find a cop trying to find clues by infiltrating places. The gunplay is pretty solid- the weapons feel realistic due to the change in recoil and all the weapons are fully customizable. But there’s something which you’ll only find in hardline; taking a stealth approach. You can flash your badge and freeze enemies to arrest them or perform takedowns using distractions if you want to follow the stealth approach. However, stealth is poorly implemented into the game. You can freeze enemies and if there’s another enemy who is really close to you but facing the other direction, he won’t bother to even turn. The environment is perfectly designed for a game like this. It doesn’t matter whether you are in a gunfight or doing things silently, the environment suits both playstyles.

AI:
The AI is dumb and intelligent at the same time. During combat, the enemy AI is pretty good, but if you are following a stealth approach, you can easily exploit the distractions feature and advance easily. You’ll have one or more allies with you most of the time, but they don’t really do anything, and the best part is, the enemy AI doesn’t detect them. They can legit go and stand in front of an enemy, and the enemies will ignore their existence unless you are in a gunfight already.

Bugs and Crashes:
You can easily run it on a medium rig but I was having constant crashes and also found some bugs. Playing it on the windowed fullscreen option will break the game and your PC might make the game a background process, so I would only recommend playing on the fullscreen option. I also got a “missing dll” error when I launched it the first time, but you can easily fix it by installing all the versions of vcredist from the Microsoft official website.

Multiplayer:
Sadly, the multiplayer of the game is dead. There are no actual servers to play on, and there was 1 server in the whole of Asia which had 0 players. It’s the same with other regions too, so if you are buying it for the multiplayer, please don’t.

📷Graphics:
The game looks pretty amazing on max settings. The environment really makes you think that you are in a city and gives the game an “open-world” vibe, but of course, you can only access the places where you have your objectives. The game looks detailed enough to give you some screenshot-worthy moments, and if you are playing it on ultra you won’t believe that it was released in 2015.

📝Main Pros and Cons:
Pros-
  • Stealth in a battlefield game, surely a new gameplay experience.
  • Decent storyline.
  • Well-designed environment.
  • Amazing graphics.
  • Can easily run on medium rigs.

Cons-
  • Dead multiplayer.
  • Frequent crashes and bugs.
  • Short campaign.
  • Runs through battlelog, which is kinda annoying.

😇Honest Rating:
The campaign of BFH is surely a banger, however, as the multiplayer is dead, you can’t really get your money’s worth. Please do not buy it directly, instead buy EA Play It is a subscription that includes the game and is only worth 5 bucks per month if you want to play the campaign.

Note: The game had been played through an XBOX Gamepass subscription.

Rating: 7/10
