After Need For Speed, Wreckfest is a game that stands strong as an arcade game, which is actually quite fun. Both career mode and multiplayer is packed with a distinct variety that you can surf and never get bored.

🎮Gameplay:
Wreckfest ticks the cardinal element of a game, which is FUN. The moment you start the game, it provides you with an energetic soundtrack to build up your fierce mood to wreck any car that comes in your way. Are you a racing gamer who is looking for an arcade racing game which is not too easy and you don’t end up winning with miles difference? Or are you a content-hungry racer? Then say no more! Wreckfest will take you on a demolition journey where each corner is sh*tfest of cars trying to ram each other and proceed ahead to get those points. This is not a real sim game where the AI will just try to cross you without bumping you. Here all the AI cars will sacrifice their spot in a race just to end your racing career. This no-mercy racing still beholds the image of relaxing racing because of its smooth controls and easy to learn mechanics.

The career mode splits into 5 championships for your fun grinding and progression. All these championships hold multiple events that you need to complete in order to climb the ranking ladder. These further divide into 3 modes- Series, Heat Race and individual challenges. Series are just standard racing with final standings rewards the final points. Heat Races are a bit different, they act as an elimination race with side challenge carrying on the progress. This is similar to how knockout stages work in football. Individual events are a pack of various events like lawnmower races, demolition derby, bus vs super van races. All the events hold significance in unlocking successive championships, which makes the grind rewarding enough to keep you going.

If the singleplayer mode is done, how about jumping into multiplayer fest? Taking on actual players and seeing who has the daring and best car control to survive this madness and win. Either play with friends in a lobby or jump into a random online event. Let’s see who crashes the most car parts. Makes sure to tune in your car according to your driving preference.

📷Graphics:
Smooth all along with the walkthrough. There was no moment of graphics being too distracting and unpleasant to eyes. Smooth environment even with all the madness. The graphic requirements are not demanding, so you should be relaxed about it. Some levels give frame drops, mostly the dusty levels where shaders are a bit boosted. People often ignore the factor that provides a best-selling factor of cars in demolition games, which is unfinished/unpolished car appearance. Derby cars are usually dusty and don’t look like a supercar which reaches a top speed of 300kmph. Wreckfest wins over the graphic factors all-around and adheres to the amusement factors.

📝Main Pros and Cons:

Pros-
  • Entertaining walkthrough.
  • Grindy but rewarding.
  • Various tracks and cars.
  • Goes on sale quite often.
  • Multiplayer with friends is hella fun.
  • Event variety is enormous.

Cons-
  • Multiplayer races are mostly pay to win DLC cars.
  • Since last update you now need port forwarding to play with friends.
  • Crash reports.
  • Big update sizes.

🏷️Tips to new players:
Difficulty changes won’t provide you with much of a reward difference, so choose between rewards or challenge beforehand. If you are in a straightforward race with random spawns. You can quit and restart the race to get a good spawn. But you can’t do that in elimination derby or knockout races. The final standing position provides more points than optional challenges.

✉️Miscellaneous Information:
Info about DLCs -
At this moment, all multiplayer races are full with DLC pay to win cars. They do have an impact and might be necessary if you want to compete with internet players. The season pass DLC is quite affordable and bang for a buck.

Bonus challenges -
Each race has a primary objective and some bonus challenges that can provide you with some extra points. Some might include, spin out at least X cars, crash out at least X cars, lead for at least X laps, cause at least X damage or wreck at least X cars.

Level up rewards -
Each level up rewards you random car parts or cars itself. So don’t hold back to not grind a little more for various rewards.

😇Honest Rating:
Start the engine and ram those cars. There can only be one winner. Play evil as all are opponents. All the events are fun in their own way. If you think you have played all types of racing games, have you entered a race of sofas augmented with wheels and an engine of a beast? Yea now you know what to expect.
