Just Cause 4 Reloaded Review

Just Cause 4 is a TPS action game developed by Avalanche studio and published by Square Enix. It is the fourth game in the Just Cause series and the successor to its 2015 game Just Cause 3. A somewhat similar game to this one is Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Breakpoint. They are the same genre, both are TPS shooter and you will find some similarities in the gameplay.
Just Cause 4 is set in a fictional South American country named Solis, which is home to some extreme weather conditions. The game has been launched at the end of 2018.

Special features

In this game you have a wingsuit which gives you some cool gameplay experience. You can go skydiving, base jumping and free dive with no limits. You will fight your enemies under some extreme weather conditions, including treacherous tornadoes and lighting storms. Also, a special thing in this game is that you can use the extreme weather events to your advantage thanks to the never seen before in-game physics.
The plot takes place after the events of Just Cause 3 when Rico Rodriguez is approached by a Solis native, Mira Morales. She convinces him to come to Solis to uncover the truth about Project Illapa. The projects scope is to create weather cores able to control the weather and create storms. Also, Miguel Rodriguez (Rico’s father) had a part in creating those. The project is run by the incumbent Solis leader Oscar Espinosa. He maintains strict control over the people of Solis. What you need to do is to dive into the South American nation of Solis, the homeland of the Black Hand and search of answers.

Graphics and art design

Even though the game still has some bugs the graphics will make up for it. The art design plus the graphics for this game make a good combination making it look somehow realistic with all the shadows and reflections. Speaking of the art design itself, it is very good giving the game a very tropical feeling.

Better that the Older Games?

This game still needs some improvements. The bugs must be fixed for sure, but after all this is still a good game. I can’t say for sure if this is better than some of the older ones in this series, but if you liked previous JC games, you will like this one for its story and gameplay. In conclusion, I can recommend this game for all TPS and JC lovers.
