[Release] Crusader Kings II Save Editor and Pruner

Here is the save game editor + pruner I am making it's purpose is to prune dead characters from saves (using specific rules etc) to makes saves work fresh and fast after thousands of years of playing. And also to edit every aspect of the save games.

It is incomplete but slowly getting good.

So far it prunes vanished and stillborn deaths and has guis to filter people to prune and filter death types to prune etc and has very basic character editing and a complete bloodline editor.

How to use:

Step 1: Save your game "uncompressed" rename it to "save"
Step 2: Place the "save.ck2" in the programs folder
Step 3: Press "Load" button to load the "save.ck2"
Step 4: Open the "Character Pruner"
Step 5: Go to the top of the window and from the dropdown select "Lowborn" now hit "Refresh" then "Prune"
Step 6: When finished press "Save" and it will create a new "modified.ck2" of your save game you can now load that

Of course you can tweak the settings on the pruner window to be as aggressive it needs to be the "Lowborn" is a default filter setting (you can save your own filters) so the default is good enough to safely remove characters without breaking the save.

When the editor is 100% finished it will edit every single aspect of a game save and feature comprehensive pruning. Right now it is very incomplete and many buttons/features are either empty or dont work. However it gets better constantly!

0.05 - Added a new GUI "Death Finder" it can list all the deaths in the save and sort it by type or age in neat ordered lists so you can prune everything you choose to
------- Added a new GUI "Character Filter" its purpose is to make it easy to filter characters that you would be cool with pruning from the game the window is very incomplete right now and does not feature anything useful (It is best to stick to death finder and regular prune buttons instead)
------- Added ability for the prune buttons to not prune characters that had children
0.04 - Added ability to prune characters who died of a custom death type.

Incorrect editing--- deleting a character that is important to the game. Make sure to use the guided options by following the steps.

when you say programs folder, you mean AppData\Local\Programs? I've changed my ck2 save and put it in the folder and it just says it can't find it

"Programs Folder" = the APPs folder itself

So since im too busy to work on C2Edit (the char pruner/editor) i release the github for it with complete compilable source code and all commit/revision history (makes it easy to see how things were added/removed) if anybody wants to take over just make a branch and have fun -- its made in C#

Where do pruned saved go? "I open the character pruner > refresh > prune lowborn characters > Click on "save current state" > Name it" and then one it's named, nothing really happens and it doesn't appear to be saved anywhere. How do you get the edited version off the program and into your files? Or am I misunderstanding completely and it doesn't rename the file, it just overwrites the file you uploaded to the pruner? If it's the latter, do you just copy and paste the new save from the pruner's folder to the game's save folder?

I just tested it on a random Sunspear game I loaded and saved instantly so I can't observe any changes or improvements to know it worked.

Hello! can i use this to remove a title from my character? somehow i became the pope and i was playing normal, then when i want to load my save, the endgame screen shows telling me i cannot play anymore because of that title...
