After 15 years, we have officially shut down our servers. Thanks to everyone for being here and doing fun stuff with us. The community lives on in our Discord.

TBM was one of the first community servers I joined when I started TF2 long ago.
Now, it is finally being put to rest.
Unlike other dead community servers, I had a chance to say good-bye.
I'm glad I was able to be there until the very end.

I have such fond memories of you guys. All the events, the BS, the shennanigans, the conversations, and the shootouts helped me grow and socialize at a rough time in my development. Siren, Sweetboy, resin, ryuke, tony, slendamon, citric, and everyone else; I miss you immensely. I played on this server throughout most of highschool, and it breaks my heart that this cool crew and awesome custom server is... well... I like to think the black market is just sleeping. In the shadows of the generic trade servers, 2fort, and valve, we're still lurking.

Is it okay to cry over a place that isn't real?
Because you guys, The Black Market, felt real to me.

Cant think of a better way to have spent my freshman and sophomore year of HS than playing on TBM with some of the greatest people Iv had the privilege to meet. You guys were the best, miss you fellas and the great laughs we had.

No, we regulars spent plenty of time on the server, it's just that there weren't enough newcomers to keep the server full/entertaining. Escrow, offline trading, trade holds, trade delays for new players, and changes to quickplay all slowly killed many trading communities.

Uh just y'know poppin' my head in to say this: Things are only gone if you let them be. Right now? -All- of you are letting it be. Me too. It's depressing.
