TOUR THE GALAXY

Tour the Galaxy is a daily mission that can net you up to 475,000 ec and a bit of commendation xp, depending on how many sector blocks you can travel through in the 15 minute time limit. You can also earn the Well Travelled passive trait by getting through 8 sector blocks. This trait grants a 20% reduction in transwarp cooldown time. Each sector block completed awards 25,000 ec, 35 exploration and 25 trade CXP(at lvl50) with bonus rewards for the 3rd, 6th, 9th and 12th block completed and for finishing all 14 sectors blocks.

The timer for the mission will begin as soon as you accept it, so it is best to save time and start already in sector space. You can transwarp to the starting point of different missions for a fee as shortcuts for getting around. Learn to cut corners where you can and make good use of your Slipstream.

It is best to at least have either Maco, Borg, or Fleet advanced engines. These have an increased base warp speed. The Driver Coil skill will increase your sector space speed when using Maco, Borg or Fleet engines, and Quantum Slipstream drive. Diplomatic Immunity and Raiding Party granted by other players both add a +50 bonus to Driver Coil for an hour, so ask a friend if they can give you a boost. :)

Be aware that the objectives for the mission will not complete if you are in a team.

If you don't already, I can also suggest turning off On-demand patching from your sto launcher options. It should reduce the time sitting in loading screens between maps. Useful in general. You will have to download a hefty bit of files up front to make up for it at first, but you'll be running smoother from then on.



This is the route that I take on Xan with the borg Assimilated Subtranswarp Engines and Obelisk Subspace Rift Warp Core (for slipstream bonuses) and finish in 12-13 minutes. Feel free to try it or figure out your own. Not good for Rom characters though because they cannot accept Diplomatic Orders mission to transwarp :(

Have the ‘Night of the Comet’ and ‘Diplomatic Orders’ missions.
1. Start in the Archanis sector of Eta Eradani. (Night of the comet puts you right near it.)
- Accept the mission and head straight for the Orellius sector block.
- From Orellius turn back into Eta Eradani and head up into Sirius.
- Take the Transwarp Conduit to Gamma Orionis and head toward the Pelia sector.
2. From Pelia, transwarp back to the Night of the Comet start in Eta Eridani, turn and head up to enter Pi Canis.
- Make your way back and forth throught the Pi Canis, Tau Dewa, and Psi Velorum sector blocks.
3. From Psi Velorum transwarp to the Diplomatic Orders mission start in Sirius.
- Head up into Alpha Centari and go straight across to enter Iota Pavonis.
- Skirt through the block and go back down to Alpha Centari.
- Catch the last sector of Alpha Centari and head down into Regulus.
- Head on through Regulus then cut across Sirius into Beta Ursae.
- Make your way through Beta Ursae, Zeta Andromedae, and Alpha Trianguli
- Finish in the Dorvan sector of Alpha Trianguli and enjoy your moneys!
