I'm a win 8.1 64x Radeon280x user who could NOT get balotour's working correctly FOREVER on RadeonPro.
I have scoured the web for hours trying to figure out why the hell every game looked SO DARK, even with NO settings enabled.
Any info on where I can read about who discovered this fix?
So, ¿simply change the main.h with the modified one and that's it?.
Anybody has test with Boulotaur2024's injector and the new shaders like chromatic aberration if is it work?
Thanks, I'll fix up the titles a bit and Pin the other guide now
Thanks alot, if I find how to fix the limitations issues in radeonpro with SweetFX ill be sure to update it. (for example: I cannot put above 200 for white levels in the levels shader it defaults back to 100)
Dozent of Versions, SFX+EFX, EFX, SFX Configurator, "SFX+EFX tweaked by some guy so it actualy should run on 8.1".
Every time something new came along my high hopes were crushed immediately.
A few more "Lazy-Genes" and I would have switched back to 7 and now I stumbled onto this thread....
I can barely fathom it, I am down to only one single game that can not be injected and that is "The Evil Within", one, if not the most technicaly awful games I have seen in a long time. Only fitting it not working on this title.
My favorite "Preset-Dealer" has "wrestled his demons" and is back in the scene, things a looking bright!
Much obliged.
Fiddling with Battlefield 4 has shown me what the problem was:
BF4 had the problem that sometimes SFX was working and other times not.
During my observation and testing I found out there is a difference between starting RadeonPro manualy and having it started automaticaly with Windows(via option or dragging it into the Autostartfolder).
Hmm, I will do a quick restart because as I am typing this, I am getting the hunch that the problem only occures with 64-bit programms. When you autostart the tool there is the known pop off "64bit helper" or something along the line. Probably this is a known issue and I have just missed you guys mentioning it!?
Well, back in a sec...
Edit:
Did a little "Reboot-Marathon": If you are lucky the "64bit Helper Module" is loaded correctly and both 32bit and 64bit are succesfully injected and other times Radeon Pro is moaning http://666kb.com/i/cgtep7afqssez7vl9.png and then only 32bit programms are visually pimped.
Some people out there claim dragging the Programm into the autostartfolder gets rid of the pop-up/issue but that is not the case on my system.
Dr. Stomach and Mr. HanneZ with some additional info that might be helpful for some of you Win8.1 users. Starting off with an selfcquote:
"Both on 7 and 8.1 I never once expierence any issues with the Afterburner, as long as the option "custom direct3d support" is turned on."
With that daring announcement I evoked a problem I never expierenced on Win7.
Normaly on Win7 i enabled the "custom direct3d support" in the options of the Statistics Server.
Thus able to run sweetfx in anygame whilst having the Afterburner running along.
The rre times SFX wasn't working I offcourse tried to close Afterburner to no avail.
The problem always had different roots.
As Battlefield didn't worked at the beginning I was looking at the settings of the Statistics Server and aha I forgot the "custom support", turned it on and BF4 was up and running.
Today i started Bioshock: Infinite and was surprised by the crash the exe was giving me.
But it was working before, so what has changed?
"Custom 3d..." is the answer!
Turned it off and lo and behold, Bioshock worked again.
Thanks to the possibility of creating profiles you can for each application individualy set it to on/off.
I am using Boulotaur2024.Injector_CeeJay.dks.1.5.1.ChromaticAberration version, but Chromatic Aberration does not work using it along RadeonPro.
Is there any way to make Chromatic Aberration work along this fix?
What changes in code am I suppose to make, I don't understand that part. Can you just provide a zip of all the modified files? I don't understand the steps and what I am suppose to do to get 1.5 working with Radeon Pro
All you have to do is click on RP and choose one profile, and thats all. Just make sure you do that soon when it loads -> chose one of your games profiles (no matter whith) and its OK.
