Sweet FX dont work (BF 4)

I downloaded SweetFX (v1.5) for win 8 and 8.1 (I have win 7... the version for win 8 worked one day, but now bf4 stop working with it ---> i downloaded the version 1.5.1 (http://sfx.thelazy.net/games/game/280/ this link: http://dropcanvas.com/iz7s1)

I put it in the battlefield 4 file (i had done it with the other too...), but now nothing happened. I press Insert, nothing happen. is something wrong? And how i can change the key assignments. I like to press F12 for that...

Delete everything SweetFX related from your BF4 folder.

Only copy the (x64) dxgi.dll, SweetFX_preset.txt, SweetFX_settings.txt and the whole SweetFX folder from the file you downloaded from dropcanvas.

After that, download my config from thelazy again, rename that file to SweetFX_settings.txt and copy it into the BF4 folder as well. You should overwrite the old file which is just the standard config.

It should work after that. You probably used the 32bit .dll's right now. But you're playing with the 64bit executable of the game. That's why it's not working.

If you want to change the hotkeys, search for Key settings and change the keys from there.

I did what you said, but i don´t work... I have deleted all old SweetFX... Than I copyed the dxgi.dll (from the x64_dll´s, only this file) in the Battlefield folder and the seetFX_preset.txt, SweetFX_settings.txt and the whole Sweet FX (i copyed all in my battlefield 4 folder [it´s not at the Origing Games File i hope that isn´t a problem... Ich have it copyed there: D:\Spiele\Battlefield 4]) ... i tested it without your config than with yours (yes i have renamed it!) but Battlfield stopp working if i want to start with sweetFX... Need i something other too or is this all to play the game with sweetFX. It´s my firs Game with it :-)

You have to copy all files to the same folder. So, all files to D:\Spiele\Battlefield 4. And also the SweetFX folder. You should have a SweetFX Subfolder. Something like this: D:\Spiele\Battlefield 4\SweetFX.

You could also show me the .log file with all the errors. Should be in the battlefield 4 folder.

Disable all overlays. That should fix the problem. Things like rivatuner/afterburner/fraps etc. interfere with sweetfx.

Thank you for your help!!! Now it works :D :D :D It was Fraps... My last Question: Is it possible to play with sweetfx and fraps? The day when it worked the first time i had both and i played...

I don't know. Probably not. It could work with MSI Afterburner though. There is an option for custom D3D support. That helps. Sometimes at least.

Msi Afterburn works fine with standard Sweetfx presets, but it dosen't work with Boulotaur2024 injector (so you can't use it with most k-putt presets).
Fraps doesn't work at all with any kind of sweetfx, at least in my case.

You can always try to activate some fps viewer directly from the game console if it allows it.

I don't know if this thread is still relevant, but I, too, am having difficultly using SFX in BF4 now as well (in particular K-Putt's preset, but could be any preset for that matter). I am using Boulotaur2024's injector and have tried individually x64 dxgi.dll, x64 d3d9.dll, and x64 dxgi.dll + x64 d3d9.dll, all with no avail (game crashes upon startup each time). I know I copied all of the files correctly (I use SFX fairly often) and set the preset correctly. I do try to use radeonpro with BF4, but even with radeonpro off the game still fails to launch. Any ideas? Need more details? thx
