Ballistic shields(?)

This game has been one of my favorites since I was a kid, and now that I have buddies who understand CQB and all that it's more amazing than ever.

However, there's just one thing my friends and I really wish to see in this game: Ballistic shields

Ballistic shields would allow for new techniques/formations and interesting movement and entry alternatives.


Now my questions to you guys are:
1. Does anyone know of any mods that add this to the game?
2. Is it even possible to mod shields in (i.e. engine limitations)?
3. If there is no mod available, and it is possible to mod in, would anyone be interesting in helping me develop this addon? I have a friend who would likely be willing to create the model(s), and if he's not interested I can provide them given enough time. I don't know code so I wouldn't be helpful in that department though.

+ SAS mod recently. But none of them added your wished item.
Regarding the engine limitation i can't help you, try to find experienced mod maker still active with moddb or swat 4 community fan club.
I replay some SWAT 3 with Last Resort and i've to admit bullet penetration with environment is just missing on his sequel sadly.
