Trying to bring back Swat 4

Hey all,

I used to play Swat 4 religiously back in the day. I'm based out of the U.S. I was on the ATS and SoS clans and made a bunch of other friends in different clans as well.

I downloaded the game with the link below:

It already comes with the v1.1 patch, which is what I prefer. If you remember me or are trying to help bring this game back please add me or hit me up.

I think a good start would be to have a full 16/16 Barricaded Suspects game. Does anybody know if there are U.S. based servers?

I would like to mention that I will support this game and eventually buy it if there is interest. I just want to make sure people will still play and if we can start filling up servers again.

there are couple of sites of the swat 4 community, some are very old, and some were early revived by the GOG digital downloads.

swat4stats dot com
ets clan co uk
myt swat 4

are just some examples.

i play mostly co-op on tss in ets server, very tactical and communicative gameplay.

I love this game and I'm glad that people still are trying to do things for it . Unfortunately I think since the shut down of gamespy it's been fairly uncommon to see survers up for it (I don't know for a fact that is was based on gamespy just a guess). I am however very excited for that new game "Ready or Not" that seams to be heavily based on SWAT4 and looks like it's going to bring back similar multiplayer modes.

Gutmust, yes that is in fact the case about gamespy. There are petitions to bring it to steam as well as a digital download. I saw that game but I mainly only play swat 4 on PC. If it is anything like Swat 4 though I may have to upgrade my PC

I was thinking about doing that,maybe starting a group would help and playing matches on certain days when most members would be available. What do you say?

Rergadless of how you aquired it, not cool posting a link to a pirated copy. Especially when the game was just released on GOG. If you want to play it, or get others playing it, refer them there. It might be wishfull thinking, but the more people actually put down cash to give this game another spin, the more likely it is someone might take notice and realize that there is some life in this genre.

Activision is the new publisher for this game, I doubt their sales are getting hurt by people pirating SWAT 4 lol

The sales of this game are barely a drop in the bucket as far as Activisions bank account is concerened. I don't care about how much money Activision has. What I care about is if people DO buy this and they DO make money, maybe someone will notice.

Activision sure as hell has the money to revive this franchise... but they aren't going to do it out of the goodness of their hearts.

Someone already is reviving this genre, it may not be the SWAT franchise, but it's still good enough. Look up the game Ready or Not. Now if they were smart, they'd bring SWAT 4 to Steam, like they did for the third iteration.

Not to sure if you will remember me, but I used to in the ATS clan too.My former tag was Gods_Soldier. I just got Swat 4 again and would like to start playing again. Send me a message.

Gods_Soldier has just created a North American server. IP is 104.247.202.53:7480. We are both admins and we are trying to keep the server consistently full
