Share Store Page with Friend

The store share button in the bottom right has social media buttons (Facebook, etc.) and a URL for sharing, but it doesn't seem you can share a store page with a friend directly through Steam.
I suppose you could copy the URL and send it to them in chat, but it may not be obvious to them what it is if all they see is a URL.
I would like to be able to alert a friend when I find a game I think they might like, and let them alert me too.
I don't suppose that "friends" would use this to spam and annoy, but maybe there should be some way for you to block it if it does happens to you.
