Steam home streaming - launcher black screen workaround?
I'm using home streaming so I can use my cheap laptop from the sofa, and have added the RSI Launcher so streaming it kinda works. There's just one snag; the launcher UI doesn't show so I have to blind-click where the Play button is and for the patch notes etc I have to go and check the host computer manually. (Or via TeamViewer)

Does anyone know a workaround for this prime example of a first world problem?

If you were using a television I'd say hook the HDMI cable to the television, but since you're on a laptop I'd have to do some more research.

Have you considered using Steam streaming? My Steam streaming allows me to show the game to anyone who wants to watch so you could potentially use it on yourself and watch your own broadcast.

Unless that's what you're doing in which case I can look up other method. Potentially Discord's streaming program may work better.

I'm using parsec.tv for that and Moonlight https://moonlight-stream.org/

You parsec.tv, you install it on your gaming pc and remote devices.

MoonLight, I prever that one, if you have an NVidia Graphic Card. Sometime I use parsec.tv when NVidia driver brake MoonLight.

Both works great on my TV / Mac / Android Tablet / Linux Laptop.

Give it a shot !

I actually switched to Parsec a few months ago after giving up on Steam and it works great. I even combined it with OpenVPN so I can play on my gaming rig when I'm traveling abroad :-)
