General question: Are non-enchanters allowed to use soul gems to recharge a weapon. I'm looking for opinions since I could see either side.

Also, Townsend was asking if he could use 'Bound Weapon' (since it levels weapon skills). I say yes, as it is in the spirit of the challange. He can't enchant, poison, improve or do anything else with them, it fits the flavor of his character, and does not really give him any significant bonus, since he is a Conjuration mage. Again, the whole idea is don't do things that cheapen your story, while still being difficult. Conversely, the point of things like disallowing merchant use without speech are because it forces the characters to get creative, to find gear. Instead, it puts a much stronger and necessary emphasis on creative workarounds like casting Bound Weapon, lockpicking every chests hoping for a magic item, encahanting otherwise mundane crap, or creating your own with blacksmithing.

Ok. (This is Tessa). So my basics are I'm a male Imperial, who is a one-handed speech master who enchants. I also plan on making him a vampire that is afraid of the dark. He must carry a torch at all time if he is traveling at night or in a dark cave.

Day One: Escaped from Helgan, tried to kill Hadever because he said we should go our seperate ways and I thought that meant he didnt want to be friends anymore. Found out he couldnt be killed. Escaped to Riverwood, only to find out Hadever went there too. The ensuing battle cost the lives of the blacksmith, his wife, and many chickens. I also killed a child's dog, but that wasnt an accident. Fled to Whiterun, killed an old lady and took her clothes on the way. Whiterun guards werent pleased with my actions in Riverwood, and arrested me. Spent my first night in jail. After I was released, I went in to Dragonsreach, and a crazy dunmer approached me with her sword, so I lit her on fire. Spent my second night in jail. My first character was an female Orc who specialized in two-handed, heavy armor, and blacksmithing. Too good. Re-rolled. Male Nord specializing in destruction, lockpicking, and alchemy.
