Dragon Tamer Laws and Dragon Theft

Ok, restructured the code. There should now be a crown law group for Indy Kings and Emperors that has Free, Appointed, and Blood laws that will affect who can hatch and tame dragons. Free means that it follows default AGOT rules, Appointed means that only Counts+ and those with the Dragon Tamer minor title can, and Blood means that only dynasty members of the Current ruler can.

In addition to these is a diplomacy option to steal someone else's untamed dragon at your location, you can't steal the dragon of a dragon rider, these are tamed dragons.

Diplomacy to gift hatched dragons to others, removed limits on hatching so the player can hatch multiple dragons.

Diplomacy to steal an egg from someone at your location that you control and you are at war with(directly or as a vassal). Should preserve egg parentage.

Is this one of those mods that are compatible with every version of the main mod? If not, which one is this compatible with?

It has the AGOT dragon_decisions file so no, it's for 1.4.1

How does the mod handle untamed dragons that have no friends? Will characters still befriend them despite not having the Dragon Tamer title or do they first need the title? And since you with the mod can gift dragons, can the player befriend more than one dragon?

It disables(ideally it seems ck2 screws it up every new version) the taming and hatching decisions for characters that don't meet the requirements, AGOT does have an event to tame a wild dragon randomly that I don't touch. Yes, you can have multiple dragons.

But with the appointed law, you can only give the title to characters who already have an egg or a befriended dragon. Wouldn't that mean that no new characters can befriend dragons (as they are required to already be friends with a dragon to attempt to tame it)?

they can't become dragon riders or hatch new dragons through the decisions with the laws, befriending happens when they hatch. But as I said there are events that AGOT has to tame wild dragons which I don't edited.

Then how do you get new dragon riders (excluding through hatching)? Wouldn't them lacking the title mean no one new can face a dragon to befriend it?

If you have one of the laws set, you can give out eggs to eligible candidates or give titles to anyone with an egg or give out dragons via the gift dragon mechanic. I'm not sure what it is you are having a problem with here, the laws set criteria on AGOT's hatch and tame decisions to limit who can use those decisions, if they don't meet the criteria then they can't use the decisions.

ok so what exactly are the requirements for somebody to be eligible to be granted the dragon tamer title? i have many individuals who have dragons and are dragon riders who arent even in the running for the title. its very confusing.

Landless courtier, outside of that counts+ can still tame dragons.

Hey Sin, I downloaded your dragon tamer law mod but it doesn't work, also I downloaded your Ultimate pack (all your mods) but that only works on the AGOT submods (like Valyrian freehold, and here dragon portraits are human) and not on the base mod. can you help me out?

Where did you download it and in what way does it not work?

May be a broken formatting in the .mod file preventing the game from reading it properly. edit it with notepad and clean it up.
