the day VALVe decides to go with securom will be the day I quit PC gaming . . . but when you look at all the stupid things happening across the world . . . its no wonder people have taken the "It's all mine!" attitude . . . and Securom is just another way to say "It's all mine!" I am glad to see some companies removing the Securom from their games (even if its just the steam versions)

That really is a shame all that happened with SecuROM - But yeah Battlefield 2 is securom free ONLY on steam, keep that in mind.

Hi, I just finished formatting my HD and re-installing my OS, after the Bioshock DEMO! installed Securom on my Pc without asking permission. I Uninstalled the demo and run the securom remove tool I found on their homepage, but It would not uninstall!!!
Yesturday I bought GTA4 for only 7 euro on steam (3h offer!) but realized it has securom too! This is getting really to me. Why on earth I have to pay to be treated like a theif :-(
It's great to see some games are starting to have their securom removed, like battlefield 2....I might just buy it now :-)

if online security like this becomes the standard to people who buy the products, than I can easily guess piracty will become more accepted as the "Anti" DRM like SecuROM

I'm very interested to see what will happen to the gaming community should this become the standard for gaming industry.

But could SecuROM make it so you cant DL a game again? maybe as some of it has a limited install but i was never aware that it removed the game from your install/game list. It could be due to SecuROM

did you load in your login or his? if it was his than it will show his games he can load. if you log on it will load your games.

Guys is it becoz of SR? When I was over at my cousin's place for a day or 2, I wanted to log in my Steam and install Bad Company 2 but the game was not on the list on his PC so is for MW2. Only Left 4 Dead 2 and some other was on the list for install.
