Marco's bots aren't fully compatible with ScrN Balance, and to the best of my knowledge, nobody has written a compatibility patch. Personally, I prefer playing with real people rather than bots.

Guys, I need help. Is anyone else using Bots by Marco with Scrn Balance? There's a problem with the bots not respawning on the next wave after they die. If in ScrnBalanceSrv.ini bMidWaveRespawnReconnetedPlayers=true, the bots can randomly respawn mid-wave, but if the parameter is set to "false" - the bots will never respawn. Does anyone have fixed version Bots by Marco or a way to fix this problem? (sorry for my bad english)
I'd also bots don't seem to receive any bonuses from the perks provided by Scrn Server Perks (the correct perks are set in the config from ScrnBalanceSrv). I really need help, because it's super rare these days to play KF1 with somebody.

Please help! used to play KF1 with your mod just fine. Now friend is stuck at infinite "connecting press F10 to cancel". I`ve reinstalled the game, opened all ports, nothing works.

If you install it KF2HUD for ScrN on the server, players can still choose a different HUD on the ScrN Features page. The problem is that KF2HUD is incompatible with the latest ScrN Balance and may cause crashes. You may try to recomplile the code with the latest ScrN Balances installed - maybe it will fix the problem.

To restore the classic HUD by default, "HudStyle=1" in defaultproperties:

a friend of mine has discovered a mutator called KF2 HUD [github.com] for ScrN on Github. as the name says, it makes the ScrN HUD look like as the one in Killing Floor 2. what i am trying to say and ask is if it's possible to install this HUD as an option along with the other ones, instead of making it default for the server. can someone help me with this question, please?

I'd recommend letting bDynamicLevelCap=true do its job: "If player count exceeds 6, level cap raises 1 level per extra player". Otherwise you'd have to modify the waves/zeds/bounty to compensate IMO.

The second step must be done even if you don't use map lists (bUseMapList=False). KF uses a native function to iterate the maps (GetMapName()), so I don't know that the crap is written there, but my assumption of the logic is:

- The engine opens KF-Hell.rom and sees that the map is "Kf-Hell" (lowercase "f"), and thinks it differs from the one is being voted: "KF-Hell". So it continues with the "best"-match algorithm.
- It picks a "random" MaplistRecord from KillingFloor.ini. I say "random" because I don't understand the logic of the selection. It also ignores bUseMapList=False.
- It selects the first record that matches "kf-hell*" - this time, case-insensitive. So if the map list has Kf-Hellride or KF-HellFreezesOver before KF-Hell, the first match will be applied.

OK, I found out what the problem is. Actually, there are two problems:
1. The map is named "Kf-Hell" in the map file. The system filename is correct: "KF-Hell.rom" but the Unreal attribute inside the map is wrong.
2. MapListLoader implementation is dumb. This time, though, it is Epic to blame, not Tripwire.

To fix the issues:
1. Replace "Kf-Hell" with "KF-Hell" un System/KF-Hell.ucl and make it read-only to prevent ucc from messing up it over again:
sed -i 's/Kf-Hell/KF-Hell/g' KF-Hell.ucl
chmod a-w KF-Hell.ucl

2. Go through ALL MaplistRecord in KillingFloor.ini and make sure the KF-Hell is BEFORE any other hell maps in the list. For example:
DefaultMaps=KF-Hell
DefaultMaps=KF-Hellride
DefaultMaps=KF-HellFreezesOver1-2
DefaultMaps=KF-HellGateFinal1-2

I have a freshly installed KF Linux server. The map filename is "KF-Hell.rom":

Map voting works fine.
"mvote map kf-hell" switches to KF-Hell (due to the exact filename match, case-insensitive).

"mvote map hell" displays all four maps:
KF-HELL
KF-HELLRIDE
KF-HELLFREEZESOVER1-2
KF-HELLGATEFINAL1-2

"mvote map hell^" switches to KF-Hell ("^" means pick the first match)

IIRC Hell has mismatching names on a server install, its prefixed with Kf- instead of KF-, at least it was in its ucl file. If your server is in a case-sensitive environment it might have something to do with it.

in my case i didn't, just left the scrn ini files like they are, just changed the boss rotation in the scrndoom3kf.ini. with kf-hell in maplist, mvote map still doesn't work for me, but via map vote menu it does, so it's not a big problem, still weird. also tried it on host game on own machine, having the same issue. i was reading something in the tripwire forum from 2013, where people talked about that issue, even when using the default mapvote inside KF, letting the game always select KF-Hellride instead of KF-Hell...

That's weird. "MVOTE MAP KF-HELL" votes for KF-Hell on my server. And I also have KF-HellRide, KF-HeallFreezesOver and KF-HellGate.
Did you modify "MapAliases" in ScrnBalanceSrv.ini?

as weird as it sounds, but adding kf-hell to the maplist, instead of KF-Hell seems to fix the problem, at least for this map and the map vote menu

If i type "MVOTE MAP KF-HELL" it is showing me the List with all Maps starting with "KF-HELL". "KF-HELL" is always written in green and the adds, like "RIDE" are red. Just if i type something with a red add, it changes the map, if i type just "KF-HELL" which is fully green, its just showing the available Maps starting with "KF-HELL" again, but it is not changing to the Map "KF-HELL" itself

It happens, when selecting a map via the map vote menu. Doing it in the Webadmin works fine, but not tested it via MVOTE MAP, but i can try if you want

i tried some more, i can get a maplist to work, but it always accepts for all mods then, even if the webadmin shows the exact list for the selected mod, but the mapvote menu doesn't. still thanks for the hint, maybe i am too dumb for it. i will use prefixes ^^

Hey, is it possible to have a specific maplist for a specific scrn gametype? example using a specific maplist for barons game in the mapvote and a specific one for turbo floor after selecting the mod in the mapvote, without using a prefix? already tried it with the default maplist loader for the gametypes in the kf.ini and the kfmapvotev3 and busemaplist=true, but somehow i dont get it to work, i am doing something wrong?

@P-Jay , We played some Doom last night and got the Guardian on Filthscross in a 6-7p game, no crashes to report.

Our setup here is pretty much "vanilla" Scrn.
