Discord server purge?

I'm one of the people in the reserve salt role and that's probably because I haven't type anything and there is no way for me to type in any of the channels and it's been this way since I joined. I couldn't even get a role if I wanted to and I'm not sure if the discord is intended to do this. Although it's really weird if the server is meant to have people joined to get kicked but that doesn't sound right.
