Any clue as to why my Shogun 2 Total War always crashes when I try to open Custom Battles or Battle Replays?

It took i would say over an hour definitely maybw 1 hour and 45 minutes something like that.

Are we talking about hours or minutes?

For me what it did it installed most of the game from the disk but steam downloaded the last 4% which took a loooong time actually it's very annoying!

I've heard that steam takes over the installaion and it makes it longer to install is this just rumours or is it the truth? By this I mean does it take as long it would if you download it digitally?

true but when they have absolutly have no moral left and they waver for half the Batlle? plus in empire it was armed citizens that suck anyway but end up killing half a regimennt of line infantry becuase one man wont die and the whole samuri vs ashugaru thing will happen in some random battle field like i said should be easy because of no outside variables like archers yet i barely win and for the rest of the fight the unit is basically useless

@horobetz_rbh That's not a bug, it's a feature... And think about it; they'll die anyway so why not die fighting?

plus the bug from empire is back where enemy units defending a castle will fight to the last man no matter the Circumstances (if their Generals dead or they have like 3 men left) which means i have to wipe out every one in the castle (who by the way have been wavering for the past ten minutes) at the expence of valiuable men

is it just me or ever since the patch all of the suddent the AI seems tougher like ill throw a rank 3 katana samuri against a veteran level 1 yari ashigaru expecting utter victory at the cost of a hand full of men yet barely get away with 30 men left!!!!!! and no theirs no archers or towers picking my men off simply one one one highly trained Samuri vs. Peasents with sharp sticks plus i thought the whole counter kill triangle rock paper sicsors thing says sowrds beat spear WTF!?!?!?

so who wants to fight againsts other clans?!? lets slaighther the rest of them

I have a problem where it won't let me put the graphics settings to ultrs, i can only go on high, but there isn't much difference anyway.... lol

Anyone know what's up with the AA in shogun 2? It doesn't let me put it on (and I know it would work on my PC )

Aggh, I hate my slow internet and how huge this game is. Been downloading since yesterday! (some interruptions to play Homefront but still!)

Mine installed very quickly from the disk, but i always takes it's time downloading the last 3% of the game after you have installed it from the disk, ah well.

It sais for me that the game takes up less space than Napoleon Total War! Omg! :D

K i pre loaded it last night but now since its decrypting the files it looks like its stuck at 74% can any one Help?

It´s me or the 3d battles are little laggy.

I am guessing the video in the demo is the reason why for low fps in the menu, about the other issues, I am not sure.

If you have a lot of programmes running in the background try shutting those down, usually helps quite a lot.

Awesome! The demo has made me really want the game now, the anticipation is killing me! At first i could not do that historical battle because my forces were split, so i just joined them together and held my ground and won, haha!

can i upgrade my Gateway DX4840-11C to i7 core processor?

I have a windows 7 which is meant for gaming however the demo was a bit laggy but I suppose it must be beta or something :D
And btw the AI is much better so I'm gonna buy this.
