Thank you very much. It worked. Now I can have fun at night.

Specs:
Ryzen 2700x
32GB 3200 DDR4
RTX 2070
I'm having the exact same problem, similar specs except R7 3700X and RTX 2080.
The game overall runs fine, but moving the camera to certain angles causes the lighting to just outright break apart, and it's not so much just shadows being exaggerated, it's literally every texture turning more or less pitch black.
Screenshots to showcase it:

Should be noted that it's not Project Dreamland that's causing this, the exact same problem is present in the regular 1.2 version, would be really nice if a fix was available, though.
No real idea what's causing it, but the strange thing is that it seems to work just fine for most people, and the only ones I've seen having this problem are people with RTX GPU's, which is kind of interesting
Area-51 was my first FPS game.
I started playing on a GForce 8400GS and currently I'm on a modest GT-630 Zotac.
In 8 years I never had problems with colors in Area-51, be it playing singleplayer or playing multiplayer.
The problem is with the RTX that came out with manufacturing defect.
On YouTube there are dozens of videos reporting the misconduct of these boards.
I recommend you test your game on a PC with non-RTX card to make sure it's really the game or the problem is your VGA.
If anything I'm pretty sure there's some kind of compatibility problem between Area51 and RTX cards, I highly doubt there's anything wrong hardware wise considering A51 is the only thing acting up
It complains that this is "not a valid destination". Is there a second item I need to edit the description for in order for this to work?
