@[UHA] apocolyptictodd I see your point. However the number of people actually entering paid raffles is now 0-3 in raffles with 10+ slots. This group isn't just to profit, it's to form at active community where everyone can enter and hold raffles. However if I loose profit on paid raffles or have to cancel them, I can't sustain much free raffles.

The current state of the group seems quite inactive. (Sortof when you get invited into those groups when you play on a popular server, and though you join you never visit the group's page). Even on free raffles we don't get much slots filled considering there's 140+ members in the group.

You have made me rethink this though, and I'd most likely start doing more free raffles when the group gets fairly more active (When we can fill a paid raffle with 5-10 slots).

Hi everyone, I see things are changing but I don't believe that making free raffles less common is a good thing. Now let me explain, not all raffles should be free but some defiantly should, it grows your base of members and most people don't want to pay money items for something they are not guaranteed to get when they could barter for it on a trade server. As I said not all raffles need to be free, paid raffles can be the main income of the group and keep it afloat, but the income from those raffles should in part be used to fund free raffles because as I said it grows and helps the group. I would recommend a 2/3 split for every 1 paid raffle there should be 2 free. Now the paid raffles should be bigger and better prizes as they are more exclusive and would draw more people making it profitable regardless. Now that's just my opinion and I hope that helps.

Source: I founded a 4000 member group (UHA) that raffles almost every week free, we have never had a paid raffle to this date.
