Why no Shin Megami Tensei in Steam?
Say, did you guys know, Atlus published 8 games here in Steam?

I still wonder why they haven't engaged in the idea of launching any Persona game to play in the PC.

It would totally cause a riot if it did release in steam and sales wouldn't even matter for the die hard SMT fans. (Which will include me, I shamelessly admit.)

But please count out Genei Ibun Roku #FE. Atlus didn't even care about the Persona part in that game.

The games from Atlus that are released on Steam aren't actually "Atlus" developed games liek Citizen of Earth. They've only been "published" by Atlus USA, as you said, which is a western branch that don't really have a say of what is going on with the Japanese branch. Lest we also forget that Shin Megami Tensei is still incredibly niche, the said niche appeal is also applied to how it is distributed. Like how they aren't bothering with an Xbox version of Ultimax and generally release on platforms that largely do well in Japan, like portable consoles like the 3DS, Vita and PS3.

Personally, I prefer to play Shin Megami Tensei and Persona on a portable console, not so much on a TV--Don't have the patience to play JRPGs like that on a PC

There's also nothing really akin to Persona in Genei Ibun Roku, as one can imagine the fan-service and idol aspects of Dancing All Night isn't a representation of the entire series and never has been--I'd also argue that Persona is generally more stylish than Genei.

I didnt think that atlus even liked steam :/
As far as i know they didnt wanna do it because they thought it wouldnt interest many pc users because about 9/10 of all games on pc are "point and shoot adventures" so i guess they didnt wanna dumb their games down and not go through the problems of keymapping and making the games look better.

Yeah it's probably because Japanese developers don't make games for PC as much, and the Shin Megami Tensei series are developed by Atlus in Japan. It still would be great if they eventually do come for PC.

I don't think graphics would be a problem because they usually use more anime stylized graphics. I think all of them do. It would just be a matter of making sure everything works right on the PC.

There are religious problems.
Religious people can't accept that their Gods appear on game

I can unfortunately agree. While I was exploring the Persona compendium in Persona 5, it has come to my attention that some of the demons used in Persona that originated in SMT is mostly based on religious figures, such as Islam or Christianity. I can see that super fanatics can play such a game very religiously and give them bad reviews because of it.

I haven't noticed that, except for maybe angel creatures if that's something. I don't think worrying about some people giving a bad review on Steam is something to be concerned about. If the games are good enough and popular then they would be a success. The Disgaea games, also which were on console, could be considered touching on religious topics a little too but they're a success.

Too many games to port, and the majority of people would only buy Personas 3, 4 and 5.
