What this is:

This steam group is to act as a place to organise pre-made challenge mode runs. If you're interested, please accept the invitation. If after reading this summary you have no clue what I'm on about please message me. If you're not interested in running challenge mode premades then feel free to decline the invitation.

Details are a little sketchy at the moment, but the following are justifications I feel:

1) Random runs are unreliable. This isn't just "OMG PUBBIES R BAD", this is more to do with waiting times for runs to start. Especially in off-peak hours for JP.

2) Organisation is key. It's a 12-player quest. 4 players can be straggled together on a whim, but more require notice or else as experience teaches you could be waiting even longer to start than you would a pubbie run.

To be done:
- Rules. Don't worry, I don't imagine they will be complex rules or even more than a handful. But some may be needed to ensure a smoother experience for all involved.
- VOIP. Typing is slow. It works in interval areas well enough, but if we need to communicate during the run then typing becomes incredibly impractical. MICROPHONES WILL NOT BE MANDATORY, so if you dont have a mic or don't wish to talk then that's fine!
- Figure out a way to organise times/dates for runs. I don't know if there's a sign-up system for calendar events..

This is an idea that might not even work out due to this approach simply not being practical or not enough people are interested or any other unforseen reasons.

Saturday Night C-Mode

Proposing a run on the upcoming Saturday. Not really night time for Americans but OH WELL.

Time: Midnight BST (6pm CT)
Duration: Roughly 2 hours.
Format: Likely 10 minute gather and organisation then a 10 minute break between runs.

Let me know in this post if it's a problem.

If we have less than 8 people we'll likely pug it. 8 or more we could try it as a closed group.

Chances are good that we'll not only fail to clear but I imagine we'll be worse than most random groups initially. We've got new players in this group, so it's going to be a learning experience for them as well. If this group works out, hopefully we can get better at it as we gain experience. As it's an organised run, feel free to make your weapon preferences known in advance.

The strategy post on the forum is pretty out-dated now, so we may want to talk about it before the run actually begins. Voice chat arrangements are unclear at the moment still.

Practise Runs / Refreshers

So we're up to 7 people now, which is pretty close to a pre-made group size I'd say. The remaining 5 spots could be filled by guests, but a point to consider is we don't actually need 12/12 in order to run a quest. I do feel like 7 is a minimum though, due to the splits necessary in the quest.

With that said, of the 7 people in this group 3 are brand new to the quest type as far as I know and 1 person hasn't played the game for a while. As such, I feel like some practise/refresher runs may be in order. That brings up the next point:

Time!

Part of the point of this group is to eliminate the waiting time when setting up pre-mades. So to do that ideally we need to schedule a time to group up and play. As this is a practise/refresher, it's a bit more loose.

Proposed Duration: 2 hours
Time Window: Bit trickier. I can play almost whenever, but preferably between the hours of 1pm and 6pm PDT (6pm and 11pm GMT). Later runs could be done, but this would sacrifice voicechat.

The day as well as anything else in this post is up for discussion.

Please share any thoughts or concerns as well as register your interest in attending. When we have a date and time I'll add it to the calendar.

Depends. Not sure what kind of group this is gonna end up being. Won't know until we've tried a few runs. Seeing as boost week is nearly over it's probably time to pencil in a date anyway.

If you guys want, I can probably find 1 or so more people to join the group. Making us 12+ people. Or just find 1.

Sure. Seems we almost have enough sign-ups now so starting to consider info posts.

Only thing I'd say is if we agree to rules, then guests would be asked to abide by them too.
